Rawhide Ranch, a Southern California tradition since 1963, is famous for providing campers from all over the world with a taste of ranch life. The camp is located approximately 45 min. north of San Diego, CA near the village of Fallbrook.
Campers learn to ride in our nationally accredited western riding program. The daily schedule features western riding & vaulting (gymnastics on horseback) instruction, animal care time, animal & horse science classes along with a variety of electives to choose from such as roping, archery, drama, farm life, crafts, intro to rodeo, climbing tower, dance, as well as swimming/water slide.
The overnight program is a co-ed program for ages 7-15. One week or multiple week sessions are available. Great for beginning/intermediate riders.
When campers arrive to begin their summer camp adventure, families will be greeted by a host of new sights and sounds to welcome you to Rawhide Ranch. As you help your camper get settled in there will be plenty of time to meet your child’s counselor and explore the ranch together before you say your goodbyes. The days will fly by and before you know it the Grand Entry music will be playing to welcome the families back to the ranch for the closing day festivities. (If your camper is traveling alone by air we will be happy to arrange for transportation to/from the San Diego airport.)
A summer horse camp experience will provide a lifetime of memories along with a new sense of independence, accomplishment, and pride as new skills are learned, new friendships are made, and a chance to joy a slower pace of life.
Rawhide Ranch is proud to be accredited by both the ACA (American Camp Association) and CHA (Certified Horsemanship Association) assuring our camp families that we meet the highest camp and safety standards in the industry today.
