Youth Ambassadors Leadership Camp is a unique camp that assists participants in identifying effective leadership traits and incorporating those traits into their daily lives so that they can become change agents in their communities. This goal is achieved by identifying students academic weaknessesin math, reading, and science and providing enrichment and remediation. We provide an individual education plan for each camper based on information obtained from pre-assessment batteries at the beginning of camp.

In addition to the academic conponent, campers are provided opportunities to develop their leadership skills by participating in activites such as public speaking, etiquette training, basic sewing, fitness for leaders, leaders reading club, art, and music.

The YALC has an end of camp trip each year. Previous trips have included Washington D.C., New York City, and Chicago in 2011.
