Metro Parks' Nature Adventure Camps are designed to provide Central Ohio youth with the opportunity to discover and experience nature in an engaging, hands-on group setting. Campers will participate in fun outdoor activities, crafts and games. Metro Parks has been offering week-long day camp sessions since 1997. Programs are available for children in preschool through ninth grade.
Each session includes art a la mode, weekly yoga class, camper's gallery, guest presentations, and outdoor activities! Zoo/Heritage Center/Capitol/Mural/Elks Pool/Sertoma Park and River Shores/Local Businesses Tours, and more. Weekly Schedule to parents at the beginning of each week! Story-boarding, filming with camcorders, strategy games, computer digital editing and digital music, Stop Motion Animation, computer programming (Python), Game Design and LEGO Robotics is taught. While working individually and in small groups, children will work on a number of projects. Each child takes home their projects from the camp.
