The People Watching Over Your Son
Every counselor is hand-picked by the Directors for leadership, character, and the genuine ability to be a role model. Nearly every one of them was a Chikopi camper himself, which means they don't just know the traditions, they were shaped by them. All staff undergo thorough background checks and weeks of training before campers arrive. The majority hold lifeguard and First Aid certification.

Boys arrive from across Canada, multiple U.S. states, and over a dozen countries worldwide. Third and fourth generation families return year after year. That's not marketing, that's a track record.

A Program Built Around Sport, Adventure & the Outdoors
Chikopi is sports-focused, a mix of assigned and camper-chosen activities keeps every day fresh and every boy engaged. Our small classes mean real one-on-one instruction, your son will never get lost in the crowd.
Specialist coaching at no extra charge is available in swimming, soccer, tennis, and sailing. Weekly special events keep the energy and excitement high all summer long.
Beyond organized sport, boys dive into Chikopi's legendary time-honoured games: capture the flag, speedball, rocker ball, timed baseball, scavenger hunt, survival challenges, triathlons, swimming races, and more. The kind of games that don't need WiFi and never get old. From kayaking on the lake to campfires at dusk, there is never a dull moment.
Fishing has quietly become one of Chikopi's most popular pursuits, whether your son is a seasoned angler or has never held a rod, the lake has a way of pulling boys in.
When the weather rolls in, camp doesn't stop, multiple indoor facilities keep the sports program running rain or shine.

Where Boys Learn to Live Together
Campers live in cabin groups of 10–12 boys, each cabin under the supervision of resident counselors present around the clock. Meals are served family-style because learning to communicate, hold a conversation, and simply be present at a table is a life skill that matters more than ever in 2026.
Each week, cabins take turns reflecting on the Golden Rule, no religion, no agenda, just basic human decency taught the old-fashioned way. Boys leave Chikopi with something you can't download: communication, responsibility, respect for others, and the confidence to handle whatever comes next.

More Than Sport
Summer evenings at Chikopi have their own rhythm. Campfires, stories, and time to just sit and talk. For many boys, these quieter moments end up being just as memorable as the competition. Each summer, we also get together with the girls camp across the lake for shared activities and events, a natural, easy part of the Chikopi summer that boys tend to look forward to.
