Camp Pawsome, located at the Houston Humane Society, is an animal-focused day camp for children ages 7-12. Since 2001, we have offered a unique blend of fun activities, hands-on learning, and valuable life lessons centered around compassion, empathy, and responsible pet ownership. Visiting with the animals at our shelter is a highlight for campers and keeps them coming back!

For summer 2024, weekly themes include: Animals & Art (for campers entering 2nd-5th grades), Animal Advocates (for campers entering 2nd-5th grades), and Vet Adventures (for campers entering 6th-8th grades).

Animals & Art Week: This week, creativity and curiosity collide in the most delightful of ways! Campers will experience a unique blend of artistic exploration and animal encounters, providing young adventurers with a one-of-a-kind experience they'll cherish forever.

Vet Adventure Week: This week, young animal enthusiasts embark on an exciting journey into the world of veterinary medicine! Campers will experience hands-on opportunities that provide them with unique experiences to learn about animal care, health, and welfare in a fun and interactive environment.

Animal Advocates Week: This week, young advocates set out on a journey to champion the rights and welfare of animals! Campers will learn how to take care of animals, why it's important to treat them with love and respect, and what we can do to make the world a better place for them.
