Founded in 1915 as a saltwater camp for boys, Chewonki has now grown into a year-round, non-profit environmental education organization. The boy's camp continues each summer with an emphasis in natural history, sailing and wilderness trips. In addition, an adventures for girls only, ages 10-16 is offered, along with several coed wilderness expeditions for teens. Family camp and trips offered as well.
