1. Heifer Ranch - Summer Action participants engage in a journey of personal growth. They commit to the value of serving others through interactive learning, community building and work projects.
Resident Camp - Coed - Perryville, Arkansas

Summer Action is primarily an education program that also includes service projects. Registrants will participate in activities that teach them more about world hunger, Heifer International’s mission and perhaps most importantly about themselves. They will learn about their role as global citizens and about how their choices affect the lives of others. They will learn they are a part of a global community and they have the power to make decisions to improve the lives of others.

Throughout the week registrants will participate in Challenge Course activities and have the option to sign-up for service projects or additional education programs. Service projects include helping with general Ranch chores, gardening, working with livestock, composting, and other Ranch projects. The service groups perform help maintain the Ranch so that it remains an active Heifer International community where people can learn more about working to end world hunger and poverty while caring for the earth. Additional education programs involve hands-on activities that teach more about Heifer International’s mission and how the participants can make a difference. Sign-up activities are meant to allow registrants some flexibility in designing their program as they pick the activities that interest them.
