Join PAW’s LIVE & UNPLUGGED GUITAR CAMP, (ages 7 – 14) play the acoustic guitar and be a real guitar hero. Learn chords, tabs, picking, strumming and music theory while playing rock, pop & classical guitar. Working in concert with PAW’s Theater Camp, you will showcase your original songs as well as provide underscoring for a live performance.

Fun is the name of the game at PAW’s LITTLE STARS Camp, a half day program specially designed for children ages 3-5. Featured activities include Dramatic Play, Music, Dance, Singing, Fairytale Theater and much More! As our campers enjoy a summer of new discoveries and friendships, they will also be achieving significant milestones in their education and development.

In SNAP PHOTOGRAPHY CAMP, kids will master their social media world through digital photography. Kids learn fundamentals such as composition, camera settings, headshots, portraits and live action shots. Students will select photos from their collected works which will be included in a portfolio to enjoy for years to come.

At PAW’s SPORTS CAMP, (ages 8 – 14) why stick to one sport when you can play them all? You will discover the joy of sports by focusing on a new sport each day. Our Sports-of-the-day approach allows kids to learn the rules, techniques and drills for that day’s sport in the mornings and apply what they’ve learned in an afternoon scrimmage. Sports include: Soccer, Basketball, Flag Football, Track & Field and The iFit Olympics.

The Antoine Cason Football Day Camp is filled with intense football training from our outstanding high school coaching staff, including Antoine Cason. The camp is for ages 7-18, July 12-13, John Glenn High School, Norwalk, CA. Camp Features: Learn from outstanding high school coaches at a 10:1 player to coach ratio. This ratio ensures that campers receive individual and team instruction on both offense and defense at camp. Daily instruction, lectures, and demonstrations by Antoine Cason. Campers get the opportunity to learn the same offensive and defensive techniques that they are taught by coaches in the NFL. Players learn more than just football at camp. They are taught about teamwork, consideration of others, self-discipline, and how to attain their potential in sports and in life. Players also learn the importance of achieving good grades and selecting correct role models. While it’s a football camp not an “autograph camp” campers will have the opportunity to get autographs from the player headlining the camp. Each camp is the right size to allow players to be matched up properly at each age level. This allows not only for a proper match up but also for the campers to be challenged and provided a safe learning environment. Menlo College is located on the San Francisco peninsula in the town of Atherton, a well-appointed residential community near the cities of Menlo Park and Palo Alto. The area ranks among the most attractive and dynamic in the world, with numerous cultural resources, temperate climate and all that the San Francisco metropolitan area can offer.

Directing this summer's camp is Menlo College’s Head Coach, Fred Guidici. The longest tenured member of the Menlo staff, Fred Guidici will begin his 14th season with the Oaks and first as interim head coach in the fall of 2009. Guidici also serves as the Recruiting Coordinator for the Department of Athletics.

Coach Guidici’s coaching resume includes stints with the San Jose SaberCats (1996-1998), Oakland Raiders (1995), Stanford University (1993-1994), Santa Clara University (1990-1992), and his alma mater, Blackford High School (1984-1989). Fred graduated from San Jose State University with a BS in marketing and a minor in economics. He resides in San Jose.

Coach Guidici has been instrumental in leading a number of record-setting special teams units at Menlo. In 2006, the Oaks Special Teams scored touchdowns in three consecutive games and four on the season. The team was led by All-American Kick Returner Jihad Mahasin, who led NCAA Div. III with 33.2 yards per return, and All-American Punt Returner Galen Perry, who finished 9th in the country with 15.2 yards per return. The Oaks led the Northwest Conference and finished fourth nationally with an average of 16.0 yards per punt return. The Oaks ranked 8th nationally in punt returns and 9th in kickoff returns in 2001. Under Coach Guidici’s tutelage, Menlo’s Special Teams has 39 blocked kicks since 1996.

Menlo has a proven record as an incubator of greatness. Many notable NFL stars have coached Menlo players – including 49er greats Eric Wright, Keena Turner, Guy McIntyre and Tom Rathman, Dallas Cowboy legend Doug Cosbie, NFL Defensive Player of the year, Keith Millard and current San Jose SaberCats quarterback, Mark Grieb. Menlo College alum, Bud Adams, is owner of the Tennessee Titans.

The Whittier College campus is situated on 74 acres just 18 miles southeast of Los Angeles, California. Whittier offers a small town charm along with many of the amenities of a metropolitan community.

This 7,000 seat lighted Stadium located in picturesque Worsham Canyon, was renovated during the summer of 2008. Wallace "Chief" Newman Field was resurfaced with SprintTurf, one of the leading turf manufacturers in the world. Aubrey Bonham Track was also resurfaced and along with the addition of the Donald E. Wood Press Box gives Whittier College one of the finest football and track facilities in the West. The Stadium is home to Poets Football in the Fall and Track & Field and Lacrosse in the Spring. It will also serve as the hub for the intramural program on campus.

Directing this outstanding week of camp is Head Football Coach BJ Hammer. Coach Hammer is coming off his second season as the head coach of the Poets. Previously he spent three seasons as the defensive coordinator for Whittier and continues in that role as the head coach. BJ began his coaching career as the outside linebackers coach for Wabash College in 2001-2002 and he was also the assistant strength coach. In 2002, he was the linebackers coach for Heidelberg College in Tiffin, OH. Hammer was also the strength and conditioning coach for Heidelberg. Coach Hammer has been a veteran clinician of Contact football Camps and we are thrilled to have him directing this summer’s camp.

Assisting coach Hammer is longtime Contact Football Camp instructor and Assistant Football Coach at Whittier, Bill O’Boyle. Coach O'Boyle began his coaching career in 1988 at Dana College, where he was the defensive line coach for five seasons. He then moved on to St. Cloud State University for two and a half seasons and during his time there, coached the defensive line, defensive ends and linebackers. In 1995, he became the defensive line coach at Hastings College. He served in that role for two seasons before being named the defensive coordinator. O'Boyle continued at Hastings until 2001, and helped lead that program to a #1 national ranking in 1998 and #3 national rankings before the start of both the 1999 and 2000 seasons. O'Boyle's defenses were ranked in the top 10 in a number of categories during the 1998 and 1999 seasons. He then went to the University of Redlands in 2001, where he assumed the defensive and recruiting coordinator responsibilities. In 2002-2003, he helped guide the Bulldogs to back-to-back NCAA playoff appearances. In 2005, he moved to the offensive coordinator position at Redlands. Since 1993, O'Boyle has worked numerous summer football camps and NFL training camps. He was named the AFCA National Assistant "Coach of the Year" in the NAIA in 2000.

uCamps SoCal: Spend a week in the beautiful mountains near Big Bear Lake and have the experience of a lifetime! Campers design their own program, choosing the activities they like best while making friends and working with our amazingly fun staff. It doesn't matter if you are shy or outgoing, young or old, everyone is treated like a rock star! Ride horses, make films, be in a rock band, act, sing, dance, swim, hike and play!! You can do it all at uCamps!

L.I.T Program: The Leadership in Training (LIT) Program is a dynamic leadership training for students interested in bettering themselves and the world around them. This two week training program is at once educational, transformative, hard work and tons of fun!!! Instead of participating in regular workshops with the campers, as a selected group of leaders, they attend workshops designed to improve communication, conflict resolution, team building, time management, public speaking and other skills necessary to be successful in college and in the workplace. Participants leave having learned a lot while making new friends and lifelong memories. Graduation from the program is NOT a guarantee for job placement with uCamps, but it is a prerequisite for students interested in working for uCamps in the future. In the second week of the program, L.I.T.s work directly with the campers; leading games and activities, working in the cabin and serving as positive role models.
