iD Programming Academy: Summer Programming Camp for Teens
Spend 2 weeks with other Teens who share your programming interests. Interact with industry pros and engage in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education. Courses: iPhone/iPad/Android App Dev, Java for the AP Exam, Modding/Programming with Minecraft, Web Programming, Electrical Engineering and more. Guaranteed small classes (max 8:1). Sally Ride Science Camp for Girls
Education Unlimited has partnered with Sally Ride Science Camps to encourage girls' interests in science by giving them hands-on science learning and activities in an environment that is supportive, enriching, and fun!
These unique, overnight camps provide 6th-9th grade girls an opportunity to explore science, technology, and engineering while having fun on a college campus.
Science Majors allow girls to choose an area of focus during some activities at camp. Each major will include several small labs and a significant culminating project. This year, girls will choose from:
Astronomy (Water Rockets Project)
Marine Science (Creative Creatures Project)
Robotics (Robotics Challenge Project)
Enrichment Activities in the afternoons and evenings give girls an opportunity for informal science learning, as well as leadership and problem-solving training, through workshops, experiments, guest speakers, and recreational activities. Students will also attend a mid-program excursion to a local science venue.
8th and 9th Grade Girls will participate in an advanced 10-day program that will allow them extra time to explore our unique majors and activities.
A Sally Ride Science Camp graduate will have:
- Completed the exclusive Sally Ride Science curriculum
- Participated in lots of hands-on science learning and activities

Alien Adventure Camp
Eight very special, and out-of-this-world campers, along with two extra-ordinary counselors, will be seat-belted in Camp Exploration's fully licensed and insured van for an amazing Alien Adventure, from Encino, CA to Roswell, New Mexico, and extremely exciting explorations in between.
Alien Adventure will depart Encino, CA for three weeks and return back with campers having seen and experienced so much that is out-of-this-world. The grand destination will be Roswell, New Mexico. The camp will enjoy the July 4th weekend's UFO Festival in Roswell. On the way there, and on the way back, Alien Adventure will venture to a wide array of interesting and enjoyable destinations, (e.g., the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Area 51, a Native Village, and so much more). Much hiking and geocaching will be enjoyed. Some nights, the camp will pitch tents and enjoy the great outdoors. Other nights, the camp will enjoy the luxuries of "civilization" in motel accomodations. Much singing and game playing will take place while seatbelted in the licensed and insured van. This unique program is limited to eight out-of-this-world campers, and will be supervised on a 4:1 ratio by two extra-ordinary counselors. This is a rare opportunity for the truly adventurous space enthusiast.
Hiller Aviation Day Camp
Explore the world of flight with flight simulations, hands-on modeling and encounters with real aircraft!
Launch a child on an adventure in flight this summer! The Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos, California, offers three different camp topics for children entering Grades 1-5 and two advanced topics for Grades 6-8. Each features hands-on aircraft and rocket construction, realistic flight simulation, exciting aircraft encounters and more.
Aviation Camp topics for 2011 include:
--Air & Space, featuring model rocket construction and launches
--Extreme Flight, an adventure in science at the cutting edge of flight
--Test Pilot Lab, a journey into the world of high performance aircraft
Camp Skyhawk and Camp Starhawk feature advanced activities in flight and rocketry for Grades 6-8.
Camps run Monday-- Friday 9 AM-- 4 PM. Half Day camps are available for Extreme Flight only, and extended hours are available for an additional fee.
