Spend the summer with horses at a horseback riding camp. Learn Western and English style of riding, jumping, as well as vaulting (gymnastics on horseback). At some horse camps, participation in horse shows and competitions are common. Proper care for horses and trail riding are often integral activities at most equestrian summer camps.

Circle F Dude Ranch Camp has been operating in Lake Wales, Florida, continuously since 1952! Campers can experience 500 acres of nature at its finest, a 42 acre lake, and an array of wonderful facilities. We are especially proud that over 50% of our campers return for additional summers with us.

We offer 25 FANTASTIC activities for campers to enjoy, and are excited about our latest addition to camp: a rock climbing wall and Zipline! Other activities include horseback riding, swimming, sailing, canoeing, the "Blob," banana boat, archery, paintball, soccer, softball, tennis, and more!

Campers participate in regular activities six days a week, with Sunday having a special activity such as a carnival or "Survivor!" There is also an optional excursion to an off-site theme park.

The Circle F staff is comprised of mature counselors who represent over 25 different colleges and universities. They are selected for their enthusiasm and caring attitudes towards children.

2. SOAR - SOAR features success-oriented adventure programs for youth with learning disabilities and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. Programs are in North Carolina, Wyoming, Florida, California, Costa Rica and Peru.

SOAR staff lead expeditions in North Carolina, Florida Keys, Wyoming, California, and Costa Rica.

Youth build self-confidence, develop social skills, work on leadership and communication skills, while enjoying the many challenges of our wilderness areas.

Adventure activities include wilderness backpacking, horsepacking, rock climbing, whitewater rafting, wildlife studies, mountaineering, SCUBA diving, snorkeling, sea kayaking and wilderness medicine. Summer expeditions range from two to four weeks in length. Shorter adventures of three to seven days are planned for the spring, fall and winter. Semester-length courses are available in the spring and fall.

The student to staff ratio is low.

Camp Dovewood celebrates 32 years of dynamic Christian Camping in North Florida. Not only do girls ages 7-16 have the opportunity to participate in 24 fun filled activities, but meet girls from all over the southeast that are wholesome, Christian girls.
Dovewood also has a fabulous equestrian program with 32 horses of all breeds, three rings and an excellent english, western, dressage, rodeo, vet care, and stable management program. Equestrian Summer Camp

Beginner Horsemanship Day Camp Week of June 22, 2009, M - F 9am till 5:30 pm (later pickup times available to accommodate working parents) Ages 5 to 16 ($185.00 for the week)

Horsemanship Camp will teach children the basics of riding. Children will learn how to control the horse on the ground and in the saddle. They will learn horse care and grooming including braiding manes and tails. Children will ride both English and Western this week. This camp will accommodate riders who have never ridden up to Walk/Trotters and lots of other activities during the week as well. 9. Choyce Party Ponies - Choyce Party Ponies is in our 13th year of business and we welcome your child to a summer of HORSES, HORSES, HORSES...
Day Camp - Coed - Palm City, Florida

Our camp is open to children with or without previous riding experience. They just have to be HORSE-CRAZY.

Besides riding, each camper will learn how to groom, tack-up, bathe and feed. Hands on horse care is the norm and fun is the name of the game! Western Speed events, English, trail riding, obstacle course training, basic riding skills, stable management and happy horsemanship are encouraged. We want to learn how to think like a horse. We offer horse related projects, art and video, and water activities. We want horses and humans to be happy and healthy!

Sessions start the week of June 8 and continue thru the week of August 18th. The final week is an advanced camp week of 3 days t-th for our regular students. Each Session runs Monday thru Friday, 9AM- 1PM. The cost is $175 per week. Aftercare thru 5:30pm is available for an additional $65 per week. A non-refundable deposit of $50 due with form. Forms availiable via email.

10. Camp Honi Hanta - Camp Honi Hanta has been operating as a GIrl Scout camp for 5 years.
Resident Camp - Travel Camp - Day Camp - All Girls - Bradenton, Florida

Camp Honi Hanta is open to any girls ages 6 and older we offer both resident and day camp. THis summer we have a brand new Junior Olympic swimming pool, with diving well for SCUBA and a zero entry area for non-swimmers. We also have a new Low Ropes course, climbing tower and zip line.

11. Canopy Rd Carriage Co and Creekside Farm Camps - We are commited to teaching about horseman ship in a fun and friendly setting. Camps will include several hours daily of horse care and mounted riding, followed by lunch, then swimming in the afternoon.
Resident Camp - Day Camp - Coed - Jacksonville, Florida

We offer day and overnight riding camps which are a week long. Day camps are for a board range of experience levels, from none to years of training. Basic horsemanship, Western, or Hunter/Jumper are available. Children will ride and take care of horses for the first few hours of the day and eat lunch and swim with the remaining couple of hours. The last day of camp is generally a "show off" day for parents to see the progress. Overnight camps are for more experienced riders who are ready for a few nights away from home. Meals will be taken care of and the students will get a sunrise to sunset experience full of lessons, trail rides, and good old fashioned stall cleaning and horse feeding as part of their horse care experiences.
