4. SCAD Art Smarts (Atlanta and Savannah) - Combining the expertise and prestige of SCAD with the outstanding facilities of Savannah Arts Academy or The Galloway School, Art Smarts offers an educational adventure in the arts through theme-based programs.

Art Smarts summer camp is offered for children ages 6-14. Art Smarts camp takes place Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., at Savannah Arts Academy or The Galloway School. Aftercare is available Monday-Thursday until 5 p.m. Programs are led by educators from the host school assisted by SCAD graduate teaching students. Each camper chooses one art class per session. Students bring their own lunch and snacks.

Each session ends with a Parent Showcase featuring an exhibition of campers' work.

Program and Aftercare Fees
The program fee is $225 per week. This includes all workshop supplies and activities. Space is limited; early registration is encouraged.

Aftercare is available Monday-Thursday for an additional $75 per camp session. Aftercare may be purchased by camp session only; it is not available by the day. Aftercare must be purchased at least two weeks prior to the session camp start date. Space is limited.

A shuttle service is available for the Atlanta location.

5. SCAD Summer Seminars (Atlanta and Savannah) - SCAD Summer Seminars offer workshops for high school students interested in exciting hands-on art and design projects.

SCAD Summer Seminars offer workshops for high school students who have completed their freshman, sophomore or junior years. Students have the opportunity to gain a valuable educational experience while trying their hands at exciting art and design assignments and projects.

Students attend one morning and one afternoon workshop each day at SCAD Atlanta or SCAD Savannah, where they have access to the university's extensive facilities, resources and libraries. Workshops may include demonstrations, lectures, studio work and local field trips. Courses are taught by SCAD professors or selected graduate students. A closing exhibition of student work is held at the end of each session.

Preplanned afternoon and evening activities include a variety or social activities, trips, and events. Local, out of state, and international students are encouraged to apply.

Admission to SCAD Summer Seminars is competitive. Applicants should demonstrate academic strength and social maturity as well as a desire to succeed in the arts. Apply online.

6. Whole World Improv Theatre Summer Camp for Kids - Our mission is to bring out the humor in all kids through improvisational techniques and games. Improv promotes focus, confidence, listening skills, and celebrates creativity!

Each day begins with relaxation and focus exercises; and moves on to connection exercises, scene and character study. Once we have developed good acting form within the improvisational scene work, we practice and learn many fun improvisational games.

Youth Technology Learning Center (YTLC) is an innovative creative technology based enrichment center offering spring camp for ages 6 to 14. Our camp will turn spring break into an exciting and memorable week of fun! We are offering a choice of full day or half day camp at a daily and a weekly rate. The following is a list of the classes offered:

Lego WeDo Robotics (ages 6 to 8) - Campers will be enthralled with building vivid real world life models with Lego's where they create their own programs for a robotic model that moves and makes a variety of sounds.

Lego Simple Machines & Motorized Mechanisms (ages 9-11) - For the more experienced builder campers will explore motorized mechanisms by building Lego simple machines and experiment with movement through robotic races.

Lego NXT Mindstorms 2.0 Robotics (ages 12 to 14) - The vastly experienced builder will fascinate in the challenges of building a full scale robot, provide programming, and experiment in robotic capability.

Carnival Ride (ages 6 to 14) - Campers will construct carnival ride models utilizing K'Nex kits which will be filmed using stop animation and used in our movie making class.

Video Game Creation (ages 8 to 14) - Campers will create their very own imaginative 2d virtual gaming world, complete with levels of difficulty, backgrounds, protagonist and antagonist characters, and music. Each camper will have their very own created video game provided on disk for them to play and show off to friends!

Movie Making (ages 6 to 8) - Campers can let their imagination and creative spirit combine in a class where they will create a movie utilizing animation, videography, and special effects!
