Acting summer camps offer an opportunity for campers to learn various aspects of professional film, television, and theatre acting, including: movement, speech and voice, improvisation, commercials, auditioning, and more. Participants may also be able to try their hand at directing, writing, and other production roles.

1. Camp Carew - The purpose of our camping program is to provide a recreational setting in which the Christian faith can be experienced in fellowship with others.

Camp Carew is located approximately 9 miles south of Carbondale, Illinois. We are located on a 60 acre site sitting on a 900 acre lake. We are surrounded by the natural settings of a wildlife refuge, national forest and a state park. This setting provides ample opportunities for a variety of activities.

2. French at Camp - French at Camp accommodates children with different French levels (beginners to native), provide hands-on activities organized by French professional native speakers. This knowledge exchange is based on collaborative work.
Resident Camp - Coed - Oregon, Illinois

French at Camp aims at introducing or improving French language and culture to 6 to 13 year old children (2nd to 7th grade) in a friendly and highly structured manner.

French at Camp combines the rigor of the curriculum with the quality of hands on activities throughout the day in the Overnight Camp. Instruction is provided by highly experienced native French speakers. This Immersion Program takes place in the beautiful Laredo Taft Recreation center, south of Rockford in Oregon (2 hours of Chicago) for a selection of two weeks

3. Hanover Park Park Districts Camps - Happy Campers Wanted! We offer a variety of camps from 9 am - 3 pm. We offer extended care options that begin at 6:30 am and end at 6 pm. Camps include field trips, swimming, sports, outdoor fun, crafts and meeting new friends.
Day Camp - Coed - Hanover Park, Illinois

At the Hanover Park Park District we offer the follwoing day camps: Lil Discovery ( 3 & 4 yrs), Discovery ( 5 - 6 yrs), Adventure (7 - 11 yrs), Teen (11 - 14 yrs), Drama (7 - 13 yrs), Outdoor Adventure (6 - 12 yrs), & Sports ( 6 - 12 yrs). Camp Sunrise offers care beginning at 6:30 - 9 am and serves breakfast; Camp Sunset offers care from 3 - 6pm and provides snack. All Camps go on a field trip each session. Day Camps for 4 - 14 yrs offers swim time and camp special event. Our sessions are two weeks long. For more information, please contact us. To sign up, please come in person to register.

5. Summer in the Arts at Northern - Visual Arts, Jazz, and Theatre are featured in 4 different residential camps
Resident Camp - Coed - DeKalb, Illinois

Summer in the Arts at Northern offers junior and senior high school students a chance to take their visual art, theatre, or jazz skills to the next level. Camps begin on Sunday and end with a show on Friday. All are on the campus of Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. Camps are Theatre Arts Camp Junior for grades 6-8, Visual Arts Camp for grades 8-12, NIU Jazz Camp for grades 8-12, and Theatre Arts Camp Senior for grades 9-12. Camp directors and staff are NIU faculty, students, and alumni. Campers stay in NIU residence halls and enjoy an intensive and fun week. Phone (815) 753-1450.
