Founded in 2002 by technology educators from Stanford University, and led by former Stanford educators and interactive education and entertainment creators from Apple and Walt Disney Studios - Digital Media Academy delivers a world-class digital learning experience.

For beginners to advanced musicians ages 8-15. If you never played an instrument, this is a fun and interactive way to get a jump-start. If you’re an experienced player, it’s your chance to study with the best musicians in town and perform in a band. Campers choose from guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, vocals or horns and learn from our professional teachers in a friendly and creative curriculum-based environment.

Camp hours are Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM. During the week campers will:

This Summer, kids at School of Rock in Naperville will be given the ultimate summer camp experience - a chance to be immersed in Rock and Roll! Students experience a hands-on atmosphere learning performance and the art of being in a rock band. Rock Performance Camp students should already have a basic understanding of their instrument and grasp of music fundamentals. Students are assigned various rock songs and engage in daily group workshops covering music theory, rehearsal techniques, performance practice, and group band rehearsals leading up to the all-ages rock show performance on the last day of camp.

Song selection are tailored to the theme of the camp and may include the following artists: ACDC, Led Zeppelin, The Ramones, Sex Pistols, The Clash, Nirvana, The Who, Black Sabbath, Metallic, Bowie, Glam, The Beatles, Maiden, Priest, The Rolling Stones!!!

Songwriting & Recording Camp students collaborate in songwriting & arranging workshops, engineering & recording sessions, rehearsals and ensembles, working towards creating and developing their own original CD project. Staffing includes a professional studio engineer, teaching students about recording techniques and processes. Students write & record their own original song compilations and are presented with a copy of their professionally produced CD at the end of this 2-week song writing and recording experience. Album design, band name, & songs are all created by them!



6. Youth Company Chicago Summer Camps - Beginning and intermediate-level skills in acting, singing and movement, learning from some of the Chicago's top theatre teachers. Culminates in fully-produced performances of Aladdin, with full costumes, sets, props and lighting.

Students will learn beginning and intermediate-level skills in acting, singing and movement. They will work with some of the best master teachers and theatre practitioners in the Chicago area. The program ends in a fully-produced, public performance of Aladdin, where participants play lead and supporting roles. The show will include professionally designed costumes, sets, props and lighting.

This summer day-long camp will meet for a total of 150 hours over the course of 5 weeks in the Lincoln Park / Lakeview area of Chicago. Daily camp meets at 925 West Diversey Parkway. Performances at a nearby professional 100-seat theatre (location to announced publicly in February).

ABOUT ALADDIN: All of your favorite characters are here in Disney’s ALADDIN JR., a stage adaptation of the Disney hit film. Filled with magic, mayhem, and flying carpet rides, audiences’ spirits will soar with excitement. Summer in the Arts at Northern offers junior and senior high school students a chance to take their visual art, theatre, or jazz skills to the next level. Camps begin on Sunday and end with a show on Friday. All are on the campus of Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. Camps are Theatre Arts Camp Junior for grades 6-8, Visual Arts Camp for grades 8-12, NIU Jazz Camp for grades 8-12, and Theatre Arts Camp Senior for grades 9-12.
