Founded in 2002 by technology educators from Stanford University, and led by former Stanford educators and interactive education and entertainment creators from Apple and Walt Disney Studios - Digital Media Academy delivers a world-class digital learning experience.

Learn video game design, iPhone and iPad App development, Google Android app development, robotics, computer programming using Java or C+++, digital filmmaking, digital photography, website design, 3D modeling, animation and so much more.

Beginning to advanced student campers age 6-18 learn by doing with hands-on instruction from industry professionals, with real-world experience. DMA builds and develops STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) skills - many of DMA’s instructors have literally written the book on the subject that they teach. DMA Alumni include television and music producers, filmmakers, professional photographers as well as game and app developers.

At DMA, students experience life on the campus of a prestigious American university like Stanford, Harvard or UCLA (just to name a few) while making friends and learning with others who share the same interests. Small class sizes (8:1 max) guarantee a personalized experience. Students work on their own personal project in every class.*

Camp Carew is located approximately 9 miles south of Carbondale, Illinois. We are located on a 60 acre site sitting on a 900 acre lake. We are surrounded by the natural settings of a wildlife refuge, national forest and a state park. This setting provides ample opportunities for a variety of activities.

For beginners to advanced musicians ages 8-15. If you never played an instrument, this is a fun and interactive way to get a jump-start. If you’re an experienced player, it’s your chance to study with the best musicians in town and perform in a band. Campers choose from guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, vocals or horns and learn from our professional teachers in a friendly and creative curriculum-based environment.

Camp hours are Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM. During the week campers will:

o Learn teamwork skills
o Build self-esteem
o Aspire to further develop their musical skills
o Participate in a Friday Night Concert for family and friends
o Every concert is recorded and each camper receives a CD or MP3 file at the end of the summer.

Merit School of Music offers high-quality, specialized instrumental and ensemble music camps, including voice, guitar, piano, saxophone, band, string and jazz camp. Budding student musicians, grades K-12, can participate in intensely fun, one- to two-week workshops that allow them to explore instruments, “stay in shape” over the summer and prepare for future auditions. Many of the camps conclude with an informal performance to show off their skills to family and friends. Band and String ensemble camps include a choice of popular electives—glee, rock, music video and songwriting. Gain The Ultimate Rock and Roll Summer Camp Experience At School of Rock Naperville! Forget arts and crafts and morning swim lessons! This Summer, kids at School of Rock in Naperville will be given the ultimate summer camp experience - a chance to be immersed in Rock and Roll! School of Rock camp programs include performance, songwriting and recording, and various artist-themed focuses. Most of our camps are perfect for musicians ages 7-18 who have musical interest or musical experience. Our camps are a great introduction to the School of Rock or a perfect complement to our year-round program.

Camps require a non-refundable deposit

Students experience a hands-on atmosphere learning performance and the art of being in a rock band. Rock Performance Camp students should already have a basic understanding of their instrument and grasp of music fundamentals. Students are assigned various rock songs and engage in daily group workshops covering music theory, rehearsal techniques, performance practice, and group band rehearsals leading up to the all-ages rock show performance on the last day of camp.

Song selection are tailored to the theme of the camp and may include the following artists: ACDC, Led Zeppelin, The Ramones, Sex Pistols, The Clash, Nirvana, The Who, Black Sabbath, Metallic, Bowie, Glam, The Beatles, Maiden, Priest, The Rolling Stones!!!

Recommended Ages: 7+, Kids should have some musical experience to participate in our performance camp. Our Beginner Camps and Rock101 Camps are require no previous experience.

TWO WEEK SONGWRITING & RECORDING CAMP

Songwriting & Recording Camp students collaborate in songwriting & arranging workshops, engineering & recording sessions, rehearsals and ensembles, working towards creating and developing their own original CD project. Staffing includes a professional studio engineer, teaching students about recording techniques and processes. Students write & record their own original song compilations and are presented with a copy of their professionally produced CD at the end of this 2-week song writing and recording experience. Album design, band name, & songs are all created by them!

Students will learn beginning and intermediate-level skills in acting, singing and movement. They will work with some of the best master teachers and theatre practitioners in the Chicago area. The program ends in a fully-produced, public performance of Aladdin, where participants play lead and supporting roles. The show will include professionally designed costumes, sets, props and lighting.

This summer day-long camp will meet for a total of 150 hours over the course of 5 weeks in the Lincoln Park / Lakeview area of Chicago. Daily camp meets at 925 West Diversey Parkway. Performances at a nearby professional 100-seat theatre (location to announced publicly in February).

ABOUT ALADDIN: All of your favorite characters are here in Disney’s ALADDIN JR., a stage adaptation of the Disney hit film. Filled with magic, mayhem, and flying carpet rides, audiences’ spirits will soar with excitement. Most of all, the tuneful, Academy award-winning score with songs including “A Whole New World” and “Friend Like Me” will certainly make this musical a favorite for many years to come!

Summer Boot Camp is an ideal program for students who want an immersive summer day camp experience to hone their performance and ensemble expertise as well as learn valuable new music industry-related skills. Students spend two full weeks working in a hands-on atmosphere learning band fundamentals, performance techniques, song writing,recording sessions and have one on one instruction. Each two week session culminates in a performance for friends and family. This is a great way to experience the Paul Green School of Rock Music regular program in a condensed version.

SPACE's Summer Camp program provides a full array of classes designed to introduce children to the joys of dance, music and the visual arts. All classes are non-competitive and nurturing, cater to boys and girls ages Pre-K through grade 5, and are supervised by highly-trained staff members that include professional arts teachers and artists.

Join Chicago’s premiere children’s theater for the summer in over 30 locations! Camps are from June 9-mid August.

Summer in the Arts at Northern offers junior and senior high school students a chance to take their visual art, theatre, or jazz skills to the next level. Camps begin on Sunday and end with a show on Friday. All are on the campus of Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. Camps are Theatre Arts Camp Junior for grades 6-8, Visual Arts Camp for grades 8-12, NIU Jazz Camp for grades 8-12, and Theatre Arts Camp Senior for grades 9-12. Camp directors and staff are NIU faculty, students, and alumni. Campers stay in newly renovated NIU residence halls and enjoy an intensive and fun week. Phone (815) 753-1450.
