TECHNOLOGY LEARNING PLUS SUMMER CAMP FUN!

Swift Nature Camp is a small premier Wisconsin residential summer camp for Boys & Girls ages 6-15. SNC is located in the Northwoods of Wisconsin on a 1500 acre lake connected to a county forest, We combine traditional water & land activities along with hands on outdoor Nature Studies. American Robotics Academy - Summer Camp 2011 - Houston, Dallas, San Antonio and Chicago - At Robotics camp students develop an understanding of "how things work" through hands-on activities that demonstrate the principles of simple and motorized machines. They gain experience with design and problem solving through the use of gears, motors, wheels and axles, pulleys, and remote control devices. Working in teams, students learn a variety of ways to design a robot to do the things they want it to do.

At Robotics camp, held in a friendly, sports-like atmosphere, we focus on team-building, problem solving, creativity and fun for ages 3 - 17. Full day or 1/2 day is available: 9 - 12, 1 - 4 or 9 - 4. Students will be working with the widely known and popular plastic LEGO building blocks, including the more specialized pieces such as axles, gears, beams, wheels, motors, microcomputers, pneumatics and other parts that will enable them to safely create animated and exciting mechanical movements and other effects. The LEGO Technic System has been adopted as the standard material for robotic designers, because of their sophisticated and powerful set of mechanical design components. The fact that they can be disassembled and reconfigured as necessary is essential in testing, design, and instruction.
American Robotics Academy ® camp can provide the guidance and confidence to build simple working robots, as well as the inspiration for more complex robotic inventions.

We all know how much children love summer, but children who spend it at Champions love it even more! Eleven weeks filled with weekly camp themes, totally different than our school-year programs, will keep your child engaged and delighted al summer long. Designed to be fun for children and convenient for grown-ups, every day starts a new activity and every week starts a new theme, so stay for all eleven weeks or come as often as is convenient for your summer schedule.

Our academic weekly themese include: Wilderness 101, Scienterrific, Spectacular Sports, Animal Antics, Gross and Gooey Science, Kid's Kitchen, Sports Smarts, Art Expo, Splish Splash and Feats of Science.

Each Conservation Camp group will explore the zoo and do activities to discover animal diversity, environmental conservation and ways Lincoln Park Zoo cares for animals at the zoo and conserves them in the wild.
