Whether it's science, language, computers, or environmental/nature studies; academic summer camps provide an environment conducive to learning across various subject matter or disciplines. Some academic camps provide a fixed location and concentrate on a single field of study, while other summer programs cover a more diverse range of study topics and may travel or embark upon relevant field trips.

SuperCamp is considered by many to be the nation's leading learning and life skills summer success program. Life skills courses such as Effective Communication, Building Relationships, Listening Skills, Problem Solving and an Outdoor Adventure Day improve self-esteem, develop more confidence and increase motivation.

SuperCamp's Quantum Learning methods have impacted over 3 million students through programs for teachers, students and school administrators.

Program Levels:
Junior Forum (10 days) - for students entering grades 6-8)
Senior Forum (10 days) - for students entering grades 9-12)

In addition, Quantum U is our college success program for current and incoming college students. Held at Colorado College August 2-9, Quantum U helps students succeed in college by sharpening learning skills and addressing such life skills as time management, money management, leadership, team-building and communication skills.

SuperCamp also offers a very popular 3-day Parent Weekend where parents gain a valuable insight into what their kids are learning in SuperCamp. Parent Weekend is held at four of our locations and coincide with the final three days of a Junior Forum or Senior Forum session.

6. Camp Multimedia - Camp Multimedia (CMM) offers intense instruction in 2-D and 3-D animation, and video.
Resident Camp - Day Camp - Coed - Cedar Falls, IA

Camp Multimedia (CMM) is a digital media summer camp for high school students based at the University of Northern Iowa, will expand to two weeks this summer, and will offer a residential experience option with overnight stays in UNI dormitories.

The camp offers intense instruction from UNI media professors and industry professionals. Using Photoshop, Flash, After Effects, and digital video editing, students learn how to integrate images, 2-D and 3-D animation, and video together in professional-level projects. Besides a week of digital media production, students have the opportunity to learn basic multimedia programming skills during a second week of CMM. Taught by computer science professors at UNI, students learn how computers represent digital images and sounds, manipulate media and create customized effects.
Camp Multimedia costs $350 for each week-long experience, not including the room and board option (add $325). Participants may also receive one hour of UNI college credit
