The U.S. Army Cadet Corps Military Adventure Camp is the most realistic and challenging military training program available to a teenager who is interested in our country's Armed Forces. Challenging, engaging, fun and realistic. If you have a teen who is considering a military career after high school this is the program for them.
The Military Adventure Camp is held in Millersburg, Kentucky at the National Cadet Training Center (NCTC) formerly the Millersburg Military Institute and new site of the Forest Hill Military Academy. Every year we get kids from across the United States and from overseas. We pick-up and drop-off from both the LEX and CVG airports for all out programs.
Basic Cadet Training (BCT). Basic Cadet Training is physically and mentally demanding, with heavy emphasis on personal accountability and teamwork. Each Cadet Recruit is assigned to a platoon of 18-40 Recruits lead by a Cadet Troop Handler and trained by a qualified Drill Sergeant. Recruits will learn military drill and ceremonies, go on the obstacle course, rappel, marksmanship, martial arts and much more. Upon completion of Basic Cadet Training, you will earn the title "Army Cadet," at a formal graduation. Basic Cadet Training is attended by all during their first summer, and is the foundation on which the other programs are built upon. After this program you can move on to the Basic Leader Course, Cadet Military Police Academy, TACMAP and return to attend our Cadet Ranger Programs.
Basic Leader Course (BLC) An intense three-week program for graduates of Recruit Training. BLC provides advanced orientation in basic leadership, troop leading procedures, risk assessment, land navigation and field training, marksmanship, self-defense and team-building activities. There is the possibility of a recruit transitioning directly from BCT to BLC, but spaces are limited.
The Army Cadet Martial Arts Program (TACMAP) A one-week advanced martial arts training program based on rigid military standards, along with other high-adventure recreational activities. TACMAP utilizes MCJKKD as its main training format, which includes a combination of Self Defense, Judo, Aikido, Jujitsu, Karate, Boxing and Wrestling.
