Since 1999 over 130,000 students worldwide have immersed in hands-on learning to create iPhone apps, programs with C++ and Java, video games, websites, movies, 3D models, ad designs, robots, films, and photos. Beginner to advanced students ages 7-17 enroll in these fun and challenging, weeklong, day and overnight summer camps held at 60 prestigious universities nationwide (see below).
Small class sizes (max 8:1) are guaranteed and taught by adult-only instructors, with Teens, pre-Teens, and younger students separated into different classes. Students learn personalized curriculum with a small group of peers, allowing them to optimize learning and social experiences. iD Tech Camps has been at the forefront of technology learning since 1999, and there’s never been a better or more important time to engage in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education. Join us for the adventure of a lifetime! Moon Base Summer Camps are one-week coed day camps that introduce children to space exploration in a dynamic and tangible environment. Spend a week training like an astronaut to create the first permanent outpost off our home planet! Learn all about what it takes to live and work in space and on the Moon.
Wear spacesuits and MoonShoes, test meteor impact craters, work with real NASA scientists, design your own Lunar habitat, grown your own space plants, run simulations in Mission Control and the Moon Base, and launch rockets!
Camp staff are scientists and engineers with experience in a wide variety of space-related science and engineering fields. NASA engineers and aerospace industry professionals offer inspirational guest instruction. Appropriate for grades 3-5 or 6-8, camps are located in the northern Virginia, central Maryland, and DC areas.

For more than 37 years, the Evergreen Montessori School Summer Camp has offered programs designed to emphasize creating exciting opportunities to learn, play, and grow. Be sure to check out our two new programs (Mad Science and Gourmet Chefs at Evergreen) for ages 7-10 year olds!

• Ages 2.5 (potty trained) to 5 years old; no Montessori experience necessary for age 4 and under
• Certified Montessori teachers with small groups

Our Montessori Summer Program will run 3 three-week sessions for ages 2.5 to 5 years old. The Montessori Summer Program’s goal is to strengthen the skills begun during the school year or to give incoming students an opportunity to become acquainted with the Montessori classroom, and for children to enjoy and experience the wonders of Montessori.
Camp hours for all programs are from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with half day options for children in our Summer Day Camp Acorns group or our Montessori Summer Camp. Before and after care is available from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

We are located on Sandy Spring Friends School’s beautiful, 140-acre, wooded campus. We are located near Olney, Wheaton, Rockville, and Silver Spring.
Campers love our performing arts center, ropes course, nature trails, two gymnasiums, playgrounds, art barn, natural swimming pond, and computer labs.
Summer at Sandy Spring offers art, activity, sports, academic enrichment, general and activity camps, such as Fishing, Culinary Arts, Soccer, Counselors-in-Training, Woodshop, Rocketry ,Adventure Camps, Cermaics, Photography Basketball, and Volleyball.

Geospatial technology is used in many fields. This Program focuses on the use of geospatial technologies in the fields of 3D Visualization and Virtual World Development, Crime Analysis and Mapping, and Marine Exploration and Discovery.

Washington College’s Geospatial Discoveries Summer Program offers a unique summer experience for kids in grades 7-12. Program attendees will spend one week at Washington College exploring many areas of this growing field. In combination with GIS, participants will also explore the depths of the Chester River, and create a 3D replica of a building or some other feature in a virtual world. By the end of the week participants will walk away with an understanding of geospatial technologies and how they are used in everyday life.
Camp runs from June 24th to June 30th, 2012.
