A Step Ahead (ASA) now in it's 15th year is featuring over 10 weeks of summer basketball including it's 8th annual Nike Basketball Camp(s). ASA is a year round basketball company that offers: Camps, clinics, classes and boys AAU teams. In the summer of 2012 we will service the following communities: Newton, Brookline, Boston, Dedham, Hingham, Southborough, Framingham, Nashua, Hyannis, and New Hampton NH

The staff at A Step Ahead Inc. consists of Boston area educators, basketball coaches and former players who thrive on teaching and coaching the game of basketball.

WSU women’s basketball is running its fifteenth annual camp (a fundraiser for the women’s program), as we continue to receive great feedback from parents and campers! Our coaching staff and players are committed to providing campers with personal attention to improve their fundamentals, and develop their skills and teamwork during game situations. Kids leave camp with improved skills, enthusiasm and motivation for basketball! We want your camper to become a better basketball player, but we certainly mix in plenty of fun activities and events, too! Campers have a great week full of basketball, fun, and special memories with new friends! Also note, our summer camp is a fundraiser for our women’s basketball program. The WSU coaches and players do not get paid for working camp. Instead, all money is put toward the cost of team equipment and travel

Now in our ninth year, A Step Ahead Inc. has become a year-round operation offering clinics and camps in all seasons. In 2005, over 500 participants have entered our camps and clinics. Our participants have come from countries as far away as Japan, Israel and Spain as well as from cities including: Newton, Needham, Waltham, Boston, Brookline, Natick, Saugus, Marblehead, Hubbardston, Washington D.C. and Bangor Maine.

Dave Cowens, former star of the Boston Celtics along with many highly qualified and respected basketball coaches from the New England region encourage each camper to develop his or her specific athletic capability while giving particular attention to team involvement.

Operating for the last 38 years, we attempt to improve our service of providing an instructional and motivational program to young athletes so they might better understand the skill and disciplines associated with basketball.
