For beginners to advanced musicians ages 8-15. If you never played an instrument, this is a fun and interactive way to get a jump-start. The camp is located in scenic Goshen Massachusetts, just down the street from DAR State Forest. We provide hands-on enrichment and college credit courses such as psychology, writing, photography, SAT Prep with The Princeton Review, arts and tennis. Classes are kept to maximum of 12 students to ensure personalized attention and interaction. After classes, our team of dedicated resident assistants organize sports, arts and other fun activities. BIMA at Brandeis University is the first residential summer arts institute of its kind for high school students to advance their artistic interests and skills within a Jewish context. BIMA offers an intensive arts opportunity for young people. The program runs from July 2-30 at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts, just 9 miles west of Boston. BIMA cultivates a vibrant, pluralistic environment for participants to develop artistic skills, to deepen their Jewish knowledge, and to ask questions about the intersection of their identity as Jews and young people committed to the arts.

Our program is geared towards teenagers (currently in grades 9-11) who are dedicated to the arts and interested in Jewish life.

BIMA participants will enjoy:

-advancing their skills in chamber ensemble, jazz, and choral music, painting, creative writing, and acting with professional artists.
