Football camps provide an opportunity to participate in various aspects of football including: full contact drills and scrimmages, punting and kicking, passing and receiving, blocking, formations, strategy, and more. Learn the fundamentals of football and have fun playing from college and high school football coaches.

1. Detroit Lions Youth Football Camps - Non-contact fundamental football camps designed to improve a participant's beginning, intermediate, or advanced skill level.

2011 Detroit Lions Youth Football Camp Locations include: Brighton (June 13-16), Gibraltar (June 18-19), Detroit (June 20-23), Grand Blanc (June 20-23), St. Ignace (June 25-26), Traverse City (June 27-30), Plymouth (July 5-8), Paw Paw (July 9-10), Chesterfield (July 11-14), Jenison (July 11-14), Okemos (July 14, 21, 28 and July 30-31), South Lyon (July 14, 21, 28, and August 4), Jackson (July 16-17), Shepherd (July 16-17), Allen Park (July 18-21), Lake Orion (July 25-28), Whitehall (July 25-28), and Grand Rapids (August 1-4). Camp includes a Lions Camp T-shirt, a guest appearance from a current or former Lions player (4 day camps only), chalk talk & video sessions, skills contests and scrimmages.

2. Al Fracassa Quarterback Camp - This camp teaches the fundamentals of high school quarterbacking. Players in grades 7-12 who want to master basic quarterback techniques will benefit immensely from attending this camp.

Al Fracassa Quarterback Technique Camp

Purpose: To teach the fundamentals of high school quarterbacking. This is a non-contact camp and is open to all players who will be in grades 7-12 during the 2012 football season. Players in grades 7-12 who want to master basic quarterback techniques will benefit immensely from attending this camp.

When:
Session 1 - July 9 & 10
Session 2 - July 12 & 13
Session 3 - July 16 & 17
Session 4 - July 19 & 20

Time: Camp begins each morning at 8:30am and concludes at 12 noon.

Location: Brother Rice High School High School, Bloomfield Hills, MI - 7101 Lahser Road, 1/2 mile south of 15 Mile Road.

Equipment: Helmet, football shoes, sneakers, shorts/t-shirt, and a football (bring a football similar to the one you will use with your high school team).

Cost: Each two-day camp session costs $100.00. Included in the camp fee are one Al Fracassa Quarterback Camp T-shirt, a quarterback fundamentals instruction book, and soft drinks at the end of each day. Each two-day instruction block is a separate, but identical camp.

Note: This camp is open, free of charge, to all coaches and family members of players attending the camp. The Al Fracassa Quarterback Technique School has been teaching the fundamentals of high school quarterbacking for 35 years. Noteworthy camp graduates include Brian Brennan (Boston College & Cleveland Browns), Dave Yarema (Michigan State and Detroit Drive), Jon English (Tulane), Bob Utter (Iowa State), Matt Baker (North Carolina and Buffalo Bills), Derek Canine (Southern Methodist), John Gieselman (Michigan State and NFL Europe), Matt Bitonti (Michigan State), Doug Pickens (University of Michigan), David Sofran (Northeastern University), Mike Cappetto (Duke University), and Jim Sorgi (University of Wisconsin and Super Bowl Champion Indianapolis Colts).

Coach Fracassa has won numerous state and national Coach of the Year Awards, to include the 1997 NFL High School National Coach of the Year Award. He was a quarterback on Michigan State's 1952 National Championship team and 1954 Rose Bowl Championship team and has coached Brother Rice High School (MI) to 8 state championships. Coach Fracassa holds the record for Michigan high school football victories (404 career wins).

3. Southfield Summer Camp held at Magnolia - Southfield Summer Camp program featured at Magnolia Center offers daily and weekly rates. Field trips, sports camp clinics and inflatable water slides. Something for every child's interest!

Southfield Summer Camp program held at Magnolia Center. Accepting ages 2 1/2-13 yrs. of age.

Preschool Summer Program accepting ages 2 1/2-5 must be potty trained. In house field trips, guest speakers, and daily activities. Cost is $26.00 per day includes 2 snacks and you provide a sack lunch.

School age program holds daily and weekly activities including Field trips, in house guest speakers, water slides, sports camp clinics such as Football, baseball, cheerleading, karate and much more! Daily rate is $31.00 includes 2 snacks and you provide a sack lunch.
