Spend the summer with horses at a horseback riding camp. Learn Western and English style of riding, jumping, as well as vaulting (gymnastics on horseback). Campers and parents may choose from our Traditional Camp programs, Environmental Trips for Challenge, Ranch Camp or our one-week Specialty Camps in sports, fine arts, sailing and windsurfing, or sailing on Lake George. We also have one week programs for girls called Arts and Hearts and a one week programs for boys called Trails and Tales. Individual choice plays a large role in the growth experience at Fairview Lake. Campers choose activities each week in addition to swimming and cabin activities. Fairview Lake YMCA sits on mile-long Fairview Lake in Northwestern New Jersey. Our 600 acres of land adjoins the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, offering us access to the Appalachian Trail, the Delaware River, unlimited hiking possibilities and breath taking views. Two waterfronts and a fleet of canoes, rowboats, sailboats and windsurfers enable us to offer a wide variety of waterfront activities. In addition, we have basketball courts, tennis courts, three athletic fields for soccer, softball and other field sports, a hockey court, a sand volleyball court, archery and riflery ranges, outdoor climbing walls and high and low ropes courses. Longacre Expeditions offers some of the most unique multi-sport adventures in the industry for Student Grades 5-12. Ice climbing and Eco-Service in Iceland. Surfing and Caving in Costa Rica/Panama. 3. Palermo Show Stable - Is your kid horse crazy? Students receive daily instruction on riding, horse care, and other valuable information.

Throughout our summer camp sessions, students
receive daily riding instruction along with dismounted
lessons on veterinary care, nutrition, and other equine
related topics. Campers will actually feed and care for
their assigned horse with their partners. The campers
will also learn from a farrier and watch a horse being
shod. We also provide stabling to those participants
with their own horse and equipment (Normal boarding
rates apply).
When not mounted or involved in horse care, children
will participate in arts and crafts, as well as games and
activities relating to the horse. Palermo also provides
an extensive video library for viewing during camp, plus
a large book/magazine library. Afternoons are spent
eating lunch, making crafts, and playing on our child
size course of horse jumps. In the event of rain, all
activities will be held in our indoor arena.
Week 1: (3 days) Tuesday, June 29 - Thursday, July 1
Week 2: (4 days) Tuesday, August 3 - Friday, August 6
Our Youth Camp sessions are open to children ages 3-5
between the hours of 9am-12pm.
