Spend the summer with horses at a horseback riding camp. Learn Western and English style of riding, jumping, as well as vaulting (gymnastics on horseback). At some horse camps, participation in horse shows and competitions are common. Proper care for horses and trail riding are often integral activities at most equestrian summer camps.

The Falcon Horse Lover's Camp is a private one-week riding camp for horse lovers only. In this unique riding program, you care for your "own horse" and also have the opportunity to ride up to three times a day. Riding campers ages 11-15 are accepted from the beginner level up to the accomplished intermediate level.

Horse Lover's Camp is divided into three levels. Level I is for beginners/advanced beginners and is designed for students with limited experience. The certified instructor's emphasis is on basic skills in all gaits. Level II is for the intermediate, featuring riders wanting to polish their horsemanship and control. Teaching includes jumping position and emergency dismounts. Level III is for the advanced intermediates who want to sharpen their riding techniques and equitation. There can be instruction in jumping and schooling over designed courses.

Campers will also find time to swim and take part in some other Falcon traditional camp activities.

YMCA Camp Kern is the largest resident camp in the state of Ohio and is in the top ten of more than 240 YMCA camps across the United States. Camp Kern is located on 485 beautiful acres along the Little Miami River in Southwestern Ohio. We are a year-round camping facility offering programs in leadership adventure, outdoor education, summer camp, ranch, and conferences and retreats. Our summer camp program runs for 9 weeks, which includes one week of staff training and 8 weeks of resident camp.

Our summer camp is composed of a variety of programs. Boys and Girls Main Camp is for campers ages 7-14 and is divided into villages based on age: Frontier Village for ages 7-9, Explorer Village for ages 9-11, Adventure Village for ages 11-13, and Adventure Plus for 13-14.
