Planet Kids is one of the largest private day-camps in Canada, annually serving more than 3,800 children and youth. Camps include Traditional programs, Specialty programs such as photography, arts, leadership, theatre arts and more, and Sports programs including Basketball, Volleyball, Soccer, Golf, and BMX. Campers swim every day in Kelso Lake and enjoy a beautiful outdoor facility with ample shelter for a rainy day!

King's Collegiate - Oakville
Traditional, Specialty, and Sports programs are available at this beautiful Oakville location. Each group will also enjoy fun indoor and outdoor activities including swimming, active & quiet games, recreational sports & special events.

Bus transportation is included to both of our locations with 40+ locations to choose from, throughout Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington, Milton, Brampton, Cambridge, & Georgetown.

At Planet Kids - Our World Revolves Around Children!

In groups of two, participants in the beginner's camp will learn how to set up their computer and their infra-red tower and prepare their control unit (RCX-NXT). They will learn how to build basic autonomous LEGO robots and how to use the Mindstorms ™ programming language for simple applications. They will be able to practice designing, building, and modifying their robotic devices to meet challenges. They will build a robot that will find its way through a maze and follow a black line using touch and light sensors. Every day brings a new fun challenge.
In the intermediate camp, campers will learn about designing advanced gears, building multi-tasking programs, and constructing decision-making robots using various sensors.
They will create real robots that will execute specific programs. The robot will be able to detect obstacles and move around them.

Ages 5-12
Embark on a week-long quest for awesome, exciting science! Be charmed by hypnotizing snakes as you slither your way through the rattling world of reptiles; ignite your craving for chemical concoctions as you dare to detonate your enthusiasm for chemistry; test your meteorological skills in our storm-chasing challenge and get blown away by the wild side of weather; blast off on a cosmic quest full of out-of-this-world rocket science and power up your curiosity for electricity as you connect with shocking and hair-raising experiments. PHYSICS OF FUN
Ages 5-12
Join us for a week of tinkering with toys and increase your ‘funderstanding’ of physics! Defy gravity as you build and test flying machines and parachutes; avoid breaking surface tension by mastering the art of bubble-ology; spark up some energy as you spring into action with wind-up gadgets; design a marble coaster to investigate Newton’s Laws at play in an amusement park and go topsy-turvy for centripetal force as you spin your favourite tops. Tinker with your favourite toys and find out just how much fun playing with physics can be!

SCIENCE CENTRE INSIDERS: SURVIVOR SCIENCE

Discover the behind-the-scenes world of the Ontario Science Centre!
Join us for hands-on activities and workshops where you will embark on a quest for awesome, exciting science! Test your skills in several fields of science, pick your favourite and put your new knowledge to the test by designing and building an exhibit prototype with the guidance of Science Centre experts. Perfect for creative 13 and 14 year olds who enjoy science and design.

Design Something New this Summer with Thinnox Design & Technology Camps

Design something new this summer: an animated short movie, a brand new video game; a digital recording of your band's masterpiece; a short video film; a portfolio of graphic images; an illustrated book. Whatever your dreams are - to be a film maker, musician, designer or inventor, remember, everything has a little bit of Design to it.

Thinnox Summer Design Camps are between 2 to 4 weeks duration. The programs offered between June 29 and September 3 are primarily for creative individuals in age categories: 10 to 13 and 14+. However, we also have some specialized programs for creative 6-9 year olds. Take a look at the calendar and pick the program that's right for you.

The typical camp day starts at 9:00 am and ends at 4:30 pm. During the camp day, besides formal instruction in a chosen area, campers are involved in organized team activities through the day that is sure to test their imagination, creativity, reflexes, team spirit and organizational skills. All programs are well rounded and include elements of graphic design, sound design and visual arts. Some programs also come with an introduction to the world of computers.
