Our 50+ senior staff members are adult professionals who assume supervisory responsibilities in camp and at least 90% return every summer. Our in-cabin counselors are college-enrolled staff members who return at a rate better than 50%. Ninety percent of our staff are Americans who are recruited across the United States for their skills, experience and ability to work with children. During our pre-camp orientation period staff members are certified in safety procedures, qualified for instructional responsibilities and trained in providing the supportive, nurturing camp atmosphere that has characterized Camp Lohikan since its beginning.

CAMP MISSION: Our mission is to provide the staff, the program and the supportive camp environment that will enhance the camper's artistic, athletic and social skills and, with positive encouragement and reinforcement, develop in the camper a greater sense of self esteem and self confidence.
