The URI Environmental Education Center is situated on 2,300 acres of forests, wetlands, and old farmland—the W. Alton Jones Campus. Dedicated to environmental education, the Center has been offering quality day and residential programs for over 30 years. The residential Earth Camp facilities include a knotty pine dining lodge with field stone fireplaces, hardwood floors, and five meeting rooms. The six cabins have electricity, bunk beds, hot showers, and lavatory facilities. Each cabin sleeps between sixteen and twenty campers. Outdoor Skills campers sleep in platform tents when not on their backpacking trip.

J-CAMP EXPERIENCE is a weekly camp for campers entering grades K-7. Campers experience several areas of interest every day, take instructional swim, and go on weekly field trips.

SPECIALTY CAMPS are for campers entering grades 1-7; they focus on one area of interest for the entire week. Specialty Camps include daily recreational swim.

Textile Arts Camp, Basketball FUNdamentals Camp, Advanced Basketball Skills Camp, Broadway Bond A.C.T. Camp (2-week camp), Creative Playhouse A.C.T. Camp (2 weeks), Paper Arts Camp, Recycled Creations Camp, Young Inventors Camp, Sports Science Camp, Green Science Camp, Pottery and Sculpture Camp (2 weeks), Line Tracking Sensor Robot Camp, Engino Building Camp, Follow Me Robot Camp, Helping Animal Camp with RISPCA, Pet Camp with RISPCA, Outdoor and Water Games Camp, Food and Fitness Fun Camp, Baseball Camp, Soccer Camp, Flag Football Camp, and Travel Camp.
