Whether it's science, language, computers, or environmental/nature studies; academic summer camps provide an environment conducive to learning across various subject matter or disciplines. Some academic camps provide a fixed location and concentrate on a single field of study, while other summer programs cover a more diverse range of study topics and may travel or embark upon relevant field trips.

COURSES
DMA offers day and overnight courses in weekly and multi-week sessions for youth, age 7-18. DMA courses accommodate a wide variety of digital media interests in a more sophisticated learning environment than other summer computer camps. All courses are project based and taught by accomplished professionals who have a passion for inspiring young minds. An average student to instructor ratio of 6 to 1 allows for plenty of individual attention as students explore, create and immerse themselves in an environment that is more like a production studio than a classroom.

THE TEEN EXPERIENCE
DMA’s teen courses for 2009 include Robotics, Digital Filmmaking, 3D Animation, Web Production, Programming, and Music and Video Production - just to name a few.
Teens may commute or stay on campus in university housing. Separate DMA couselor staff live in the dorm coordinating evening and weekend activities while ensuring a fun and safe experience for everyone. Teens living on campus receive breakfast, lunch and dinner in a university dining hall. Commuting students may purchase a dining hall lunch pass or buy their own lunch at one of several restaurants on campus.

THE YOUTH EXPERIENCE
DMA’s 2009 youth courses (called Digital Media Adventures) include Robotics, Digital Filmmaking, Game Creation, Web Design & Flash, Cartoon & Comic Book Creation and Surfing & Filmmaking. To create a more balanced experience, we incorporate outdoor recreation breaks throughout the day – we beleive, like you, that kids should move! Additional activities, such as sports, board games and weekend adventures are offered to youth in our residential program.

2. COLLEGE VISITS - COLLEGE VISITS offers the college bound student a first-hand look at colleges and universities throughout the United States.
Travel Camp - Coed - Charleston, South-Carolina

Because of our experience in working with a multitude of higher education institutions, we are able to obtain meetings with admissions representatives, student led tours, and campus housing. This helps to take the hassle and worry away from the student and parents in organizing a family visit. COLLEGE VISITS tours cover all aspects of college life. We tour small, medium and large schools, rural and urban, and public and private schools. Our tours cover almost every region of the U.S., so if there is a particular school or region you are interested in, chances are COLLEGE VISITS goes there.

We offer educational materials at the start of every tour in the form of a COLLEGE VISITS Workbook. This material gives you a specific look at each school we will visit, as well as helpful hints like questions to ask during your college appointments, and places to see throughout your visit. Information about Financial Aid is also included. The tour will enable you to get a sense of what higher education has to offer and hopefully, allow you to narrow down some choices or come up with some new ones after participating in our tours. The choice of a college or university is an important one and COLLEGE VISITS works very hard to see that the participants make the most informed decision possible.
