2. Socket to Me! Computer Camp - This camp provides a hands-on computer science and computer engineering experience

5. Space Adventures! Camp - Space Adventures! Camp

Students in this camp will explore:
- the birth of the universe
- the life cycle of stars
- black holes
- relativity and time travel
- star mythology
- satellites and global positioning

Students will get to make "alien slime" and build, decorate, and launch their own model rocket. They will also take field trips to the SD Air & Space Museum and Hidden Valley Observatory.

6. Super Science Camp - Super Science Camp

Students will get excited about science in this camp! Students will explore:
- Physics - impulse and momentum, phases of matter, and catapults
- Earth Science - geology of the Black Hills, water quality field trip, and meteorology
- Astronomy - Mars, the Hubble telescope, NASA, comets, and meteors
- Chemistry - safety and experiments

7. STEPS Engineering Camps - STEPS (Science Technology Engineering Preview Summer) Camp

STEPS is a one-week introduction to the world of technology and engineering. Campers participate in hands-on activities that give them an understanding of what engineers do. Students will also explore science and engineering topics such as materials, clean manufacturing, CAD, team building and robots.

Of course there is time for fun! The camp also includes a number of activities that may include swimming, pizza parties, a field trip, etc. Participants will experience dorm life, cafeteria food and learn what it is like to be on a college campus.

This is an overnight residential camp. A room will be provided in a residence hall on the School of Mines campus for the entire week. There will be 2-4 campers per room. Counselors are assigned to the campers in a ratio of one for every 15 girls. The camp will provide all meals.

Scholarships are available for academic performance or financial need!
