1. Camp Kiowa - ADVENTURE KIOWA and KIOWA U are overnight, enrichment camps located 30 minutes north of Dallas, TX for boys and girls ages 6 - 17. COURSES
DMA offers day and overnight courses in weekly and multi-week sessions for youth, age 7-18. DMA courses accommodate a wide variety of digital media interests in a more sophisticated learning environment than other summer computer camps. All courses are project based and taught by accomplished professionals who have a passion for inspiring young minds. An average student to instructor ratio of 6 to 1 allows for plenty of individual attention as students explore, create and immerse themselves in an environment that is more like a production studio than a classroom.

THE TEEN EXPERIENCE
DMA’s teen courses for 2009 include Robotics, Digital Filmmaking, 3D Animation, Web Production, Programming, and Music and Video Production - just to name a few.
Teens may commute or stay on campus in university housing. Separate DMA couselor staff live in the dorm coordinating evening and weekend activities while ensuring a fun and safe experience for everyone. Teens living on campus receive breakfast, lunch and dinner in a university dining hall. Commuting students may purchase a dining hall lunch pass or buy their own lunch at one of several restaurants on campus.

THE YOUTH EXPERIENCE
DMA’s 2009 youth courses (called Digital Media Adventures) include Robotics, Digital Filmmaking, Game Creation, Web Design & Flash, Cartoon & Comic Book Creation and Surfing & Filmmaking. To create a more balanced experience, we incorporate outdoor recreation breaks throughout the day – we beleive, like you, that kids should move! Additional activities, such as sports, board games and weekend adventures are offered to youth in our residential program.

3. Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas Camp Rocky Point - Camp Rocky Point is located on Lake Texoma between Texas & Oklahoma. We offer a variety of waterfront activities, making this one of the coolest summer places in Texas. Please indicate camper or counselor on your information request.
Resident Camp - All Girls - Denison, Texas

Discover the fun and friendship of Camp Rocky Point! This 59.8-acre camp is located on Lake Texoma just eight miles outside of Denison, Texas.
 
Girls stay in platform tent units overlooking the lake, with bathrooms and showers nearby. They gather in the dining hall for meals and other activities. Camp sessions end with a closing campfire on the beach.
Program facilities include: a waterfront area on Lake Texoma for sailing, canoeing, kayaking and swimming; a sports/game area; and hiking trails.
Camp Rocky Point’s Program Focus is WATER FUN! Camp Rocky Point focuses on progressive water sports which allow girls to build upon or develop skills.
Girls will also learn about the importance of healthy living as they discover how to care for themselves and the environment, connect with other girls on the water, and participate in more active waterfront activities.

4. Kidventure Day Camp - Since 1994 Kidventure has grown to be Houston's most recognized camp program.

Kidventure's team of adult educators, college students, coaches and early childhood specialists provide the highest quality programing for children of all ages. From preschool to teenagers, each program offers age appropriate curriculum in a very active and focused camp format.

5. Deer Creek Camp - Deer Creek Camp is a Christ Centered, Adventure Camp for kids ages 7-16.

Deer Creek Camp is a Christ Centered, Adventure Camp for kids ages 7-16. We offer 1 and 2 week sessions with a variety of specialty activities offered each week. High School age campers are involved in Leadership Legacy through the TREK (after 9th) and Summit (after 10th) Programs. We also have a COR Team Program (after 11th/12th) that focuses on Servant Leadership.

6. Sea Camp-Texas A&M University at Galveston - A Hands-on Marine Adventure for 10-18 Year-Olds!!

Sea Camp is a week-long adventure exploring the wonders of the marine and estuarine environments. As a Sea Camper you will have access to research vessels, oceanographic equipment, laboratory facilities and a professional staff enabling you to learn about the ocean through first-hand on-the-water experiences. There are 10 different Sea Camps to choose from. Our premier program is Marine Biology/Ecology. Other progams include: Fish Camp, Marine Mammal Workshop, Coastal Camping, Study in Belize, Ecotourism Adventure-Cancun, Mexico, Ocean Careers Awareness, Coastal Photography and Marine Geological, Chemical and Physical Oceanography.

7. Camp Eagle - Camp Eagle is a non-profit Christian camp encompassing 1400 acres of rolling hills, cliffs, and the headwaters of the Nueces River. Programs include Summer Camp, Eagle Quest, Retreats, Junior Mountain Bike Camp, Riding and Climbing.

Summer Camp is a week that runs from Sunday to Saturday that is designed to stretch you in your walk with God. College Counselors encourage you to encounter Christ-like change in real relationships and daily living. 8. Robotics Camp - Houston (and surrounding areas) - At Robotics camp students develop an understanding of "how things work" through hands-on activities that demonstrate the principles of simple and motorized machines. They gain experience with design and problem solving through the use of gears, motors, wheels and axles, pulleys, and remote control devices. Working in teams, students learn a variety of ways to design a robot to do the things they want it to do.

At Robotics camp, held in a friendly, sports-like atmosphere, we focus on team-building, problem solving, creativity and fun for ages 3 - 17. Full day or 1.2 day is available: 9 - 12, 1 - 4 or 9 - 3. Students will be working with the widely known and popular plastic LEGO building blocks, including the more specialized pieces such as axles, gears, beams, wheels, motors, microcomputers, pneumatics and other parts that will enable them to safely create animated and exciting mechanical movements and other effects. The LEGO Technic System has been adopted as the standard material for robotic designers, because of their sophisticated and powerful set of mechanical design components. The fact that they can be disassembled and reconfigured as necessary is essential in testing, design, and instruction.
American Robotics Academy ® camp can provide the guidance and confidence to build simple working robots, as well as the inspiration for more complex robotic inventions.

Adventure Team Kids Outdoor Adventure Day Camps on Lake Grapevine where we offer 12 separate weeks of action-packed adventure in the great outdoors! Ages 4-13 enjoy Archery, Target Shooting, Kayaking, Fishing, Swimming, Geocaching, Orienteering, Nature Walks, Team Building, Arts & Craft Projects, Volleyball, Football, Baseball, Soccer, Water Sports, and More! Good old fashioned outdoor fun! Adventure Team Outreach presents their Summer 2009 Adventure Day Camps on Lake Grapevine from June 1st-August 21st. Each of the 12 weeks of camp run Monday through Friday from 9am-4:30pm, with extended hours starting at 7am and ending at 6pm daily. Camp tuition is $200 per camper, per week of camp, or $45 per day. We also offer a camp t-shirt for $10, a photo CD for $10, Visors for $10, or a Combo of all 3 for $20. Extended hours are $25 for early drop off per week and $25 for late pick up per week. Campers bring their lunch Monday through Thursday and can bring $5 on Friday for Pizza, Soda, and cookies.

10. National Guitar Workshop - The National Guitar Workshop is the country's largest summer music education program. We offer classes in guitar, bass, keyboards, drums and vocals in all styles and levels. We have programs in 7 locations around the U.S. and Canada.
