YOUNG MUSICIAN’S CRASH COURSE! (June 13-17, July 11-15, August 1-5: 9am-4pm)
Fast, furious, and fun! This high-energy, all-day camp is designed to help young aspiring musicians explore their undiscovered musical abilities. Give us your child for a week and we'll give them an appreciation for music for a lifetime! Our primary goal in this camp is for our little artists to learn to perform with great stage presence! Your child will choose their favorite style of music (pop, rock, country and/or theater) and take guitar or keyboarding, songwriting, auditioning tricks for all auditions, ear training, hip hop dancing, and drums. And if that’s not enough already…at the end of the week our campers will go home with a demo of their work, complete with a full photo shoot! Parents will be invited to a professional showcase the last day that will be videotaped and placed on YouTube! $395 (Plus $30 Supplies)

After one week, beginners will play complete songs and experienced players will take their act to a new level!!! YOU GOT THE BEAT! DRUM CAMP! (June 20-24: 1-4pm) Taught by professional rock drummers!!!
Your child will be walking to the beat of a new drum! Artists in our Drum Camp learn basic rhythms, styles of hits and beats, dynamics and drum choices. (Aspirin not included.) This is also great for singers and instrumentalists who need help with their timing and rhythm—which is the fundamental element to all music! 15 hours for only $275!!!

(TEEN) IT’S A HIT! - TEEN SONGWRITING (June 20-24: 10am-12pm)
So you want to make a lot of money in the music business? Then you had better get into songwriting…and this session is the perfect place to learn the business. Of course you’ll learn how to write a song and get to record it in our studio, but this class goes way past that. You’ll be arranging chords and harmonies, working with co-writers, learning about royalties, splits, copyrights, and about how just one hit song can pay you for a lifetime. Due to popular demand, we have taken the hip hop dancing portion of our Young Musician’s Crash Course and created an entire camp around it! ROCK CAMP (July 25-29: 10am-4pm)
Playing with a full live band is an incredible experience, and learning how to work with live players is an absolute MUST if you plan on having a career in music. In one week you’ll learn how to sing, play, arrange for and direct live instrumental players. And for you instrumentalists: learn how to accompany a singer, play with full bands, and read charts and arranging! Not like the mega camps advertised—this camp is tailored to you! STUDIO 101! - DEMOS AND PRODUCTION (June 20-24: 6-9pm, July 25-29: 1-4pm)
Be an intelligent musician! In this technology-based session, you’ll spend the entire week in the recording studio recording a demo and learning the basic skills of production. Don’t get taken advantage of when spending big money on a live instrument/EP quality demo! You’ll learn about mics, laying down tracks, sampling, effects and more! At the end of the week you will have recorded and co-produced a quality demo! Limited to five students. Serious students only! $450

Camp Broadway Bound is Broadway Bounds Summer musical theatre day-camp. This camp is a safe, non-competitive environment designed to awaken the creative spirit and imagination through acting, music, dance, and performance.

The camps meet Monday through Friday either 9:00am to 1:00pm or 1:30pm - 5:30pm, for 1 week as students prepare to present a showcase presentation for family and friends.

Camp apprentices love being "immersed" in theatre, while they are involved in every aspect of the production from learning lines, music and dance steps, to creating costumes, props, and staging their showcase.

Rising Star Academy are designed to engage, stimulate and challenge the young brains of children from the ages of 5 yrs thru 12 years of age. The emphasis of the camps is to develop the academic, creative, motor and social skills of young children in a fun-filled enviornment. The range of camps offered is quite wide starting from parks and nature trails to wildlife, gymnastics, cheerleading, dance and digital media development. At the same time we offer academic camps geared towards learning about computers, mathematics, and science. The cost of the camps is only $145/week including all the field trips and there are field trips every day.

BOARDING OPTIONS
Every summer, students from across the country flock to central Texas for a one-of-a-kind performing arts experience. Texas Arts Project has quickly become a proven leader in the world of performing arts education. Outstanding teaching, direction, and performance experiences enhance skill, encourage cooperative work, and nurture self-confidence.

Senior Camp runs June 12-July 3, 2011. Campers between the ages of 13 and 18 study all areas of theatre and film, but concentrate in an area of their choosing: Acting, Filmmaking, Musical Theatre and Technical Theatre/Design.

NEW Senior Classical Guitar Camp June 26 - July 2.

Advanced Camp runs June 5 - July 3, 2011. Senior Campers may apply for the Advanced Program, an extension of the Senior Camp for the serious student wishing to study Acting or Musical Theatre at the collegiate level. Campers integrate with the Senior Camp for three weeks, but begin with an advanced week preceding the Senior Camp. There is an option to apply for the Week-long Advanced College Prep Camp only.

Junior Camps, for ages 9-12, focus on singing, acting and dancing. Structured classes combined with an intense rehearsal process and a lot of fun, make the Junior Camp a wonderful experience for the young artist. Broadway style songs and dances are rehearsed and performed at the end of the session. Session 1 (Beg-Int) runs June 5-11, 2011 and Session 2 (Int-Adv) runs June 12-25, 2011.

Texas Arts Project is not your ordinary summer camp. While we enjoy many standard camp activities, the real excitement comes when campers discover the joy of creation and the thrill of performance. Outstanding teaching, direction, and performance experiences enhance skill, encourage cooperative work, and nurture self-confidence. St. Stephens' faculty, college professors and regional and national working artists join together as we strive for excellence through an artistic program where students are actively encouraged to find the place where process meets product.

LOCATION
TAP is located at St. Stephen’s Episcopal School, a 428-acre campus near Austin in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, offering breath-taking views and state-of-the-art facilities. The arts facilities include the Helm Fine Arts Center featuring the Temple Family Theatre, a 410-seat performance venue and proscenium stage; the Scanlon Art Gallery; two fully equipped art studios; a 100-seat recital hall; and an open-air portico overlooking Lake Austin.

In addition to Helm, the campus boasts Hines Hall Theatre and Quin Studio, two additional rehearsal/ performance spaces as well as the Clayton dance studio.

Lazy Acres is located on 20 beautifully shaded acres of fun! We are easily accessed from the NW Houston area, Tomball, The Woodlands, Cypress, Conroe. We give children a time to be remembered. The kids that have been here before say it's the best camp they have ever been to!

Children bring a sack lunch and Lazy Acres will provide thirst quenching drinks and delicious snacks. We have an indoor game room that is "cool" with loads of fun!
