Would you like your child to be introduced to a great school? At Applied Scholastics Academy of SLC we combine fun activities with academics. Your children can meet new friends, swim, garden, hike, take field trips and still keep up (or catch up) on their reading, math, science, etc.

2. Ms. Kaye's Performing Arts Camp

Ms. Kaye's PAC offers a diverse camp full of visual art and dance classes and performance opportunities.

Ms. Kaye’s Performing Arts Camp is committed to providing a diverse, fun community where children and teens can develop an increased understanding of themselves and others through arts activities designed to encourage creativity, cooperation, self-confidence, responsibility, and fun. Camp will take place at Bryant Middle School (40 East 800 South, SLC, UT 84102).

Ms. Kaye’s Performing Arts Camp is a 501 (c) (3) Non-Profit.

Classes Offered:
Classes will be offered in Hip-Hop, Steppin’, Polynesian, African Dance, Zumba, Musical Theater, Arts & Crafts, Photography, Creative Dance, and Ceramics. Classes are divided by age and include one 5-7 year-old class, one 8-11 year-old classes and one 12-18 year-old class.

$180 per student (non-refundable)

Families with 3 or more attendees will be discounted to $160, per student.

Camp Roger - Utah’s premier week-long, overnight camp for children ages 7-17. We have introduced many children to Utah’s amazing mountains and wilderness adventures since 1948. 6. American Red Cross Utah High School Leadership Development Camp (LDC)
Salt Lake City, Utah

Our High School Leadership Development Camp put on the by the American Red Cross Utah Region and is often said to be one of the most incredible experiences of the participants lives!

LDC is for youth who are currently in 9th, 10th or 11th grades and is for Utah residents only. It is a camp for kids who are looking to improve their leadership skills no matter what their current level. The camp will be the third week in June 2012 and lasts from Monday-Friday. We focus on developing leadership through learning your own values, recognizing the diversity and value of diversity in others, and being part of your community and your world. Getting outside of your comfort zone is the name of the name of the game. All applicants are interviewed and selected based on their willingness to try new things and be involved. The curriculum and schedule are not made known to participants... its all a big surprise and trust me this is very important to how powerful camp is. Return participants have this to say:

7. Natural History Museum of Utah Summer Camp: Adventures in the Natural World
Salt Lake City, Utah

NHMU offers a summer of adventures in the natural world. Our full- and half-day week-long science-themed camps are taught by certified teachers and are suited for each grade-level. The camps take advantage of the museum’s new learning labs and outdoor spaces, and offer hands-on experiences and fun activities.

What makes our camps great?
* Certified teachers teach our camps and workshops.
* We offer Science Workshops for kids entering 6th through 8th grades. These workshops are more focused experiences, involve lab work, and provide kids opportunities to work with real scientists.
* We partner with outside organizations such as Red Butte Garden, Bad Dog Art Studio, Tanner Dance, Tracy Aviary, Play-Well TEKnologies, The Children's Theatre, Friends of the Great Salt Lake, Wasatch Community Gardens, and the Great Salt Lake Institute at Westminster College in order to broaden the experience for our campers.

Our hands-on, interactive camps/workshops offer activities on a wide-variety of natural history themes such as dinosaurs, insects, chemistry, anatomy, DNA science, geology, space, flight, water, nature, animals, weather, and ecosystems. Partner camps include topics such as dance, filmography, art, gardening, LEGOs, and farming.

Each week-long summer camp is choc-full of science experiments, fun activities, and new experiences.

8. University of Utah Graphics and Robotics with Amazing Technology (GREAT) Summer Camp
Salt Lake City, Utah

The GREAT summer camps are aimed at students who want to unleash their creativity while learning about computer graphics, robotics and programming by making games, animations, and robots.

The GREAT camp provides engineering and technology fun for students entering 4th through 12th grades. All of our programs follow the same basic recipe for success: provide opportunities for students to creatively challenge themselves in an environment with frequent, high-quality guidance. Here is a description of our current programs.


We currently offer three different camps for upper elementary students. Two use Scratch, a popular programming environment designed for making simple animations and games, and the third supports the First Lego League teams in Utah by training students for these robotics competitions.

Middle School

Our popular middle school program combines a 3D programmable world and LEGO Mindstorms robotics for a fast-paced week of activity.

High School

High school students can choose from an innovative Arduino microcontroller robotics camp or an extended game programming camp using the Python Programming language.
