Founded by DC natives Rob Elwood and Brendan Sullivan in 1996, Headfirst offers top-notch, award-winning summer camps in the Washington, DC region including day camps, multi-sport camps, single sports camps and specialty camps for children ages 3½-14. Regardless of which fun-filled Headfirst camp you choose, your children will develop new skills, make great friends, learn life lessons and make great memories in a safe, professionally run, fun environment.

This summer, Longwood University is offering athletic camps in baseball, boy's and girl's basketball, field hockey, girl's residential soccer and boy's/girl's commuter soccer, softball, and tennis and three golf clinics. The Longwood summer camp program is designed for kids of all levels to learn and have fun. Whether you characterize yourself as a beginner of advanced player, Longwood's summer camp is a place where you belong. The coaches of each sport are winners on and off the field and will offer an experience like no other. They have excelled individually in their respective sports and coached some very successful players, even a few who became professional athletes.

Each camper will recieve an american red cross whale's tales water safety badge.

Five-Star Day Camps:
The Five-Star Day Camps are designed for boys and girls ages 9-15 who are looking for a learning environment where they will be drilled with fundamentals as well as participate in games and competitions. The Day Camp format works well for players who are unable to travel.
Junior Five-Star Camps:
This is our overnight program for players 9-15 years old utilizing the identical format of competition, exposure, and teaching as our traditional camps. Commuting Option is available. Some of today's best high school players started their development at our Five-Star Junior Camps as middle school players. We give players the skills and preparation for the varsity level.

With over 1,800 career victories and numerous national awards and championships, our coaching staff has achieved the highest forms of success. Recently, we cheered on our 13 olympians at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Come learn the game from your favorite coaches as they pass along their secrets that have made their teams so successful.
