In operation since 1936, Far View Ranch Camp is a farm/ranch experience for children on a 1,000 acre ranch in the California Sierra foothills concentrating on hands on experiences in an outdoor setting.

Far View Ranch Camp operates 2 week sessions during the summer months for boys and girls ages 8-15, who are interested in involvement in a rural life experience. Kids take an active role in animal chores, horseback riding, gardening, hiking, nature exploration, gold rush history, water sports, performing and visual arts and cooperative group living. Many generations of children have attended Far View and have participated in a life changing experience. The camp is small and much like a large farm family. Non-denominational, multi-ethnic design with an emphasis on inclusiveness, open communication and respect for the environment, nature and one another.
