Little Rock Camp

Little Rock Camp at Austin’s Lone Star School of Music in Southwest Austin is a week long program designed to let your kids fall in love with music. This five day Austin music summer camp will include singing, piano, guitar drums, violin, musical team building games, and more…

Kids will have the opportunity to learn about Pop, Rock and Roll, Classical, Country, Bluegrass and Jazz.

Our little rockers gain confidence in musical creativity and performance, while having fun in a group setting. Campers will even get to build their own instruments, all led by some of Austin’s best music teachers and musicians.

Activities each day include:

Singing kids songs, including pop and folk
Trying different instruments (voice, piano, guitar, drums and bass)
Take guitar lessons
Instrument building arts and crafts

Little Rock Camp runs from 9:00 am to 12:00pm, Monday through Friday, and is designed for boys and girls ages 5-10. We provide snack mid-morning and all necessary instruments. If a student already plays an instrument, then they are welcome to bring it with


Rock Camp! (10-15 Year Olds)

Our teen rock band is looking for young rockers this summer at Lone Star School of Music’s Southwest Austin location! This Austin music summer camp is for boys and girls, ages 10-15, who dream of being on stage or playing in band.

Camps run for one week each, and gear you up for a final performance on the main stage. Campers go from zero to rock n’roll in five action-packed days that cover all the fundamentals of a successful band.

Campers will get to:

Write Songs
Compose Music
Make Set Lists
Receive Vocal Coaching
Practice Team Building
Perform Onstage
And feel like they’re in a real band!
Lone Star School of Music in Southwest Austin is looking for boys and girls, ages 10-15, who want to play drums, guitar, piano, violin, cello, brass, or sing with a band. Rock Camp students must bring their own instruments, with the exception of drums and piano.

Rock Camp runs Monday through Friday from 9:00am-3:00pm. It includes morning and afternoon break times, as well as lunch at noon. (A refrigerator is available.)
