Saugahatchee Country Club Discovery Camp
EXPLORE. DISCOVER. ENRICH. Daily activities camp for members and non-members of Saugahatchee Country Club.
Introduce your child(ren) to a variety of daily physical and academic challenges provided in a safe and fun environment led by a professional staff. One location with numerous experiences. Partnering with Auburn University instructors, as well as professionals in the community, we've formed a talented team to offer your child(ren) an action-packed adventure they will love! In four days, each camper will have instruction in: Tennis, Golf, Swimming, Etiquette, Nutrition, Music (piano/guitar/percussion), Science, Painting, and Cooking. Includes nutritional snacks and lunch with option of before and after care. Two Sessions: June 19-June 22, 2012 OR July 10-July 13, 2012. 9:00 am - 3:30 pm. Limited to only 15 campers per session for low teacher/child ratio. Camp coordinator/leader is a special education teacher at an Auburn elementary school.
Museum Expedition: Archaeology Camp
EXPLORATION, DISCOVERY, AND ADVENTURE! A scientific field program for high school students, teachers, parents, and adults interested in archaeology, history, and natural science.
Discover the fun and adventure of the outdoors by participating in a real scientific expedtion. Work side-by-side with scientists on an actual field research project sponosred by the University of Alabama. Educators and scientists provide leadership and supervision for approximately 25 camp members each week. No experience is necessary.
Who can participate? The Expedition is designed for middle school students, high school students and teachers, but is open to anyone interested in archaeology, history or natural sciences. Educators and scientists provide leadership and supervision for approximately 25 camp members each week. No experience is necessary. Participants must be age 14 or older, unless accompanied by an adult.
Cost: Program tuition is $350 for a week. Accommodations, food, and scientific equipment will be provided – a detailed list of what to bring is included in the registration packet.
