California Aviation Summer Camps and Flight Camps on the Camp Channel

Learn how to fly airplanes, gliders, and ultra-lights at aviation summer camps. Some aviation camps offer hands on aircraft experience, while others provide instruction via flight simulators and models. 1. Hiller Aviation Day Camp - Explore the world of flight with flight simulations, hands-on modeling and encounters with real aircraft!

Launch a child on an adventure in flight this summer! The Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos, California, offers three different camp topics for children entering Grades 1-5 and two advanced topics for Grades 6-8. Each features hands-on aircraft and rocket construction, realistic flight simulation, exciting aircraft encounters and more.

Aviation Camp topics for 2011 include:

--Air & Space, featuring model rocket construction and launches
--Extreme Flight, an adventure in science at the cutting edge of flight
--Test Pilot Lab, a journey into the world of high performance aircraft

Camp Skyhawk and Camp Starhawk feature advanced activities in flight and rocketry for Grades 6-8.

Camps run Monday-- Friday 9 AM-- 4 PM. Half Day camps are available for Extreme Flight only, and extended hours are available for an additional fee.

2. AviationSummerCamp - The rich history of aviation has inspired generations. Whether you are interested in flying as a career, a hobby, or just want to know more. During each of our camps participants build bolsa planes, paper planes, fly r/c planes while learning about the principles of flight.
