French Woods offers summer camp programs in dance, theater, music, circus, magic, visual arts, sports, and horseback riding programs. Each child, works with our staff to design his or her own unique summer experience. Campers are able to focus on one particular area of interest, or they may choose to select a variety of activities. We are at the same time, a theater camp, an art camp, a dance camp, a circus camp, a horseback riding camp, a sports camp, a magic camp, and a camp that offers all the traditional camp activites, with world class programs that each child can choose a-la-cart.

French Woods is located on a private lake in the western Catskill mountains of New York State near the Delaware river and the Pennsylvania Border. The camp is approximately two and a half hours from New York City between Monticello and Binghamton.

Welcome to Precollege Summer Camps at NYU's School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS). Students find themselves in the ideal environment to make lasting connections with industry professionals and to form friendships with interesting peers from all over the world.

NYU-SCPS Summer Camps are designed to provide a deeply enriching, intense period of study in subjects that fire the imagination while instilling confidence and pride by engaging fully in the creative process, from taking on artistic challenges to thoughtful and strategic problem solving. Students will develop expertise in a new or existing area of interest. NYU will provide a unique learning experience that is both fun and social, stimulating and purposeful. Camps are one to five weeks in length. Classes and activities are full day, five days a week. Class sizes are small to give each student individual attention.

MAKE A STATEMENT THIS SUMMER BY DOING SOMETHING TRULY EXCEPTIONAL - create movies, from script-to-screen! With Filmmakers Ink, aspiring young filmmakers will gain knowledge in every aspect of filmmaking. We offer film camps in Scarsdale NY, Harrison NY and NYC. The first week will focus on screenwriting with the Filmmakers Ink staff guiding your child through the script development process as they write their own screenplay. Our staff of professional filmmakers will then guide all of the young filmmakers as they work together as a team to produce films from these scripts with actors from our Acting For Film Program. From script development to creating lighting design and shot lists, the process of making your film will build confidence, hone your ability to work as a member of a team and leave you with a finished film to add to your portfolio. Filmmakers Ink Summer Film Camps are currently being held in NYC, Scarsdale and Harrison, NY; Fairfield, Hartford, Litchfield, New Haven and Middlesex Counties in CT; Longmeadow, MA; and Santa Fe, NM.

Choose as many weeks as you like and never repeat our large curriculum. You can learn Computer Programming, Web Page Design, 3D Game Design, and you can also take place in our nightly Network Game Tournaments! Our staff comes from the best universites in the country and will show you the latest and greatest in computing using our state of the art equipment. Children participate in activities ranging from swimming to softball, from cookouts to ceramics, from picnics by the ponds to performances on stage. We also offer supportive academic courses ranging from math to SAT Prep.

Our program is unique. With a variety of separate camps, every family and every child can find the right mix of programs to suit their summer schedules and individual interests. The programs are designed to challenge, engage, and entertain each child and—most importantly—to provide a safe place for discovery, learning, and creativity to blossom. Each summer Alfred University welcomes high school students to our campus to participate in exciting academic institutes in astronomy, creative writing, computers, engineering, chemistry, entrepreneurship,robotics, theater, and art portfolio preparation. We also offer equestrian, swim, football and lacrosse camps. Our beautiful, safe campus, located in western New York State, is the perfect place to experience learning and living in a collegiate setting. Students can explore fascinating subjects, meet others from all over the country with similar interests and levels of academic or athletic ability and have lots of fun. Classes, taught by distinguished faculty members, are kept small to allow for individualized attention and optimal use of equipment. Students also enjoy recreational activities, stay in modern residence halls and have meals in the University dining hall. Living and learning together, these students get to know each other well and often develop life-long friendships.

This workshop will provide participants a perfect environment, where through hands on experience, they learn the techniques of video production as a method of self expression while in a diverse environment with other participants from different cultural backgrounds. In 2009, given the theme, "Japan in New York", each group will explore aspects of Japanese culture and business in New York, which will afford participants the opportunity to learn about cross-cultural communication and diverse aspects of New York. Participants will take English as a Second Language (ESL) or Japanese as a Second Language (JSL) classes. They will learn their target languages and have opportunities to use those languages through various activities and dormitory life. There will also be many activities lined up, such as computer music creation, dance, cross-cultural events, field trips to Broadway musical, etc.
