Youthworks! believes in the ability of youth to realize their unique artistic visions. Mystery Dinner Theatre, Circus Arts, Youth-written and performed fantasy plays, historical dramas, Narnian Adventures...these are examples of our work alongside youth. We invite families to sign up together for our camps and projects as well.

Youth who work well within Youthworks are motivated, cooperative, self-directed, and good listeners. We don't look for stars - everyone wears different hats and each member is a team player. Consideration, respect, acceptance, and FUN are mandatory.

Salem Academy and College created "Spotlight" as a premier summer academic enrichment program for young women, a natural extension of its rich heritage and institutional commitment dating back 233 years. Salem Academy and College, founded in 1772 in Winston-Salem, NC, is the oldest girls' school in continuous operation in the nation and shares an exquisite, historic 64-acre campus with Salem College, a liberal arts college for women. Spotlight is the opportunity for bright, intellectually curious young women from around the country to live and learn together in a place where extraordinary moments in ordinary days become treasured memories.

Research supports what Salem Academy and College already know; single gender education is a positive and powerful privilege, and Spotlight is the perfect opportunity to celebrate this experience. All sessions are open to rising 8th - 12th graders. Coursework is age and aptitude appropriate, providing a challenging intellectual environment in a stimulating and supportive community. There is much more to the All-Arts & Sciences Camp than just academics. It's a college experience for all our campers from dorms to cafeteria to classroom buildings, recreation facilities and student union with one exception: unlike college students, our campers are ALWAYS supervised.

RIght Track Academy is a full day drama and visual arts program for K-6 students. Each week-long camp features a theatrical performance produced by students. Kids learn stage presence, public speaking, set and costume design, script writing, and theatre lighting in an impressive theatre facility. Experienced teachers are committed to building self-esteem through the arts!
