The Orchestra Project is a yearly summer music camp held on the campus of VCU. It is a joint venture between the Richmond Symphony and the Music Department of Virginia Commonwealth University. The Orchestra Project features two camps that run simultaneously: String Odyssey for developing string players with 2 years experience, and String Intensive for the advanced string player.

Our camp balances challenging musical training to string and piano musicians ages 8-18 with enriching group activities ranging from kayaking, campfires, environmental education, hiking and arts and crafts.

The Julian Family Fiddle Camp (JFFC) is a five-day acoustic music camp for people of all ages and musical abilities. This year’s camp offers instruction in fiddle, guitar, mandolin, upright bass, cello, old-time and bluegrass banjo, dobro and vocals.
