Join us in Berkeley Heights and New Providence for summer enrichment including private music lessons, orchestral and ensemble camps, and musical theatre, dance, and drama programs for students ages 4-16 of all abilities.
We bring together young people for four weeks of musical study and performance in a supportive community. We welcome band, orchestra, choir, composition, piano, and pipe organ students completing grades 8–12 from all faith backgrounds to join us.
Our camp balances a challenging chamber music program for string and piano musicians ages 8-18 with a traditional camp experience.
The Orchestra Project is a yearly summer music camp held on the campus of VCU. It is a joint venture between the Richmond Symphony and the Music Department of Virginia Commonwealth University. The Orchestra Project features two camps that run simultaneously: String Odyssey for developing string players with 2 years experience, and String Intensive for the advanced string player.
Musicians 9-14 years old: play with others in ensembles, learn to play percussion instruments and sing. Campers will perform in concert at the end of the week.
