During the summer Western Michigan University offers a wide variety of camps geared toward students of all ages. Our camps range from academic to sports, with a little bit of everything in between. Camps vary in cost based on requirements.
Camp Wathana, established in 1926, is operated by Camp Fire USA Southeast Michigan Council. Located on 250 acres, the site includes two lakes, rolling hills, woods, fields and wetlands. Camp Wathana offers a fun, safe, well-rounded summer camp program. Accredited by the American Camping Association.
Located on beautiful Barlow Lake: swimming, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, and water skiing are highlights. Horseback Riding, archery, sports, and arts and crafts are among other favorites. Impacting lives since 1913!

Located at the northern tip of Lower Michigan. Walden's pristine 90 acres includes expansive lakefront on Long Lake. Since 1959, Walden campers have been making new friends, acquiring new skills, and most of all learning about themselves.
