Camp Tawonga is located just outside Yosemite National Park on the beautiful Tuolumne River. Our mission of self-esteem, community, appreciation for nature, and fostering positive Jewish identity is woven through all our programs.In addition to our "at camp programs," Camp Tawonga also facilitates teen adventure travel programs, international service learning, and weekend family camps. Ojai Summer Programs offer a combination academic and activity program. Campers may take general morning classes for credit or enrichment in study skills, reading , writing, perfoming arts, arts and crafts, and science. There are three afternoon activity periods. All campers experience an outdoor campout at the beach or local los Padres National forest.

We ask our students to set aside limits: to be courageous and open to surprise as they immerse themselves in the immediacy and power of Shakespeare’s plays. Conservatory students spend the morning studying acting, physical comedy, stage combat, and more; afternoons are for rehearsals, to create a fully-realized, specially-adapted public performance of a Shakespeare play on the final day of the conservatory session.
